What happens at death, the most mysterious moment of our life? In what disguise will death appear before us to take our soul? Bedrettin Simsek, the heterodox author of Turkish literature, answers these questions in his book "Miracle Device" and presents himself as a soothsayer whose prophecy about the Grim Reaper in 2005 was fulfilled by the study of British scientists in 2013, which surprisingly showed that the Grim Reaper really came to us at the moment of our death, just as it is described in "Miracle Device", an example of literature of thought, a short novel by Bedrettin Simsek. The results of a study conducted by the British Wellcome Trust and published in the journal Plos Biology in July 2013, confirming Bedrettin Simsek's thesis that death appears as a wave at the end of our lives, can be read in the introduction entitled "The Discovery of the Grim Reaper". The story, in the style of Edgar Allan Poe, is briefly about atheist scientists who unexpectedly discover the existence of the Grim Reaper in a miraculous device they created in a laboratory while trying to prove that there is no God. This work, which shows that even a writer can perform miracles in the field of literature, is intended only for readers who are open to new ideas and curious about the mysteries of death.

What sets The Theological Intentions of Mark's Literary Devices apart from other books? What niche does it fill that makes its publication important? This volume will interest all those who value a literary approach to the Gospel of Mark. Dean Deppe introduces some new literary devices in the research of the Gospel of Mark as well as demonstrates the theological intentions of Mark when he employs these literary devices. Deppe argues that Mark employs the literary devices of intercalation, framework, allusionary repetitions, narrative surprises, and three types of mirroring to indicate where he speaks symbolically and metaphorically at two levels. Mark employs these literary devices not just for dramatic tension and irony, but also for theological reasons to apply the Jesus tradition to specific problems in his own day.

The “delightfully macabre” (The New York Times) true tale of a brilliant and eccentric surgeon…and his quest to transplant the human soul. In the early days of the Cold War, a spirit of desperate scientific rivalry birthed a different kind of space race: not the race to outer space that we all know, but a race to master the inner space of the human body. While surgeons on either side of the Iron Curtain competed to become the first to transplant organs like the kidney and heart, a young American neurosurgeon had an even more ambitious thought: Why not transplant the brain? Dr. Robert White was a friend to two popes and a founder of the Vatican’s Commission on Bioethics. He developed lifesaving neurosurgical techniques still used in hospitals today and was nominated for the Nobel Prize. But like Dr. Jekyll before him, Dr. White had another identity. In his lab, he was waging a battle against the limits of science and against mortality itself—working to perfect a surgery that would allow the soul to live on after the human body had died. This “fascinating” (The Wall Street Journal), “provocative” (The Washington Post) tale follows his decades-long quest into tangled matters of science, Cold War politics, and faith, revealing the complex (and often murky) ethics of experimentation and remarkable innovations that today save patients from certain death. It’s a “masterful” (Science) look at our greatest fears and our greatest hopes—and the long, strange journey from science fiction to science fact.

S.C.I.M. Introduction This is a short course in miracles. It is a required course. Only the time to take it is voluntary. Free will does not mean that you can establish the curriculum. It means only that you can elect what you want to take at a given time. The course does not aim at teaching the meaning of love, for that is beyond what can be taught. It does aim, however, at removing the blocks to the awareness of love's presence, which is your natural inheritance. The opposite of love is fear, but what is all encompassing can have no opposite. This course simply summed up in this way: Nothing real can be threatened. Nothing unreal exists. In this is peace. This is an short introduction to "A Course In Miracles" simplified by Emery

By the author who saved modern literature from being a desert of thought, Bedrettin Simsek, a novel full of mysteries about death and life for those who have lost God and are searching for Him. An example of a new, different, alternative literature of thought. So far, authors have written countless books about death without being able to tell us anything meaningful about it. This time, Bedrettin Simsek's novel, inspired by real cases of reincarnation that took place in Turkey, is not about those who die mysteriously, but about those who are mysteriously born. When he asks, "Is there a connection between reincarnation, God and schizophrenia?", he gives answers that have not been given before. He asks the questions that have not been asked. In a mysterious murder investigation, the search for the killer eventually leads us to find God. When a murder is solved, the mysteries of existence are solved. What comes out of the criminal's mind reveals that birth is actually a much more mysterious event than death. For those who want to think while reading, to encounter new and daring ideas. "I see not only the great truth behind everyday events, but also what happens in this world and in other worlds, even before birth and after death, and I describe these mysteries in my writings" Bedrettin Simsek
