The Composable Enterprise Agile Flexible Innovative written by August-Wilhelm Scheer and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-12-11 with Computers categories.

The benefits of digitalisation do not lie in the use of new technologies for existing processes, but in organisational changes and new business models. The book highlights the composable enterprise as the guiding principle for successful digital transformation and associated cost reductions and revenue increases. What does it mean? A composable enterprise is organised in a decentralised process-oriented way. This allows the enterprise to react quickly to new situations, develop or change processes and business models. The information systems are based on platform architectures. A paradigm shift to monolithic applications. Sector concepts for industry, consulting and universities show how organisation and application architectures interlock in the composable enterprise. The reader receives inspiration, a foundation and a compass for the digital transformation of a company to the composable enterprise.

Flexibility Measurement In Production Systems written by Sven Rogalski and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-05-12 with Technology & Engineering categories.

The requirements for production systems are constantly changing as a result of changing competitive conditions. This poses a challenge for manufacturers in the various branches of industry and creates an ever-increasing need for flexibility. With this as a background, this book explores the current developments and trends as well as their impact on today’s production systems. It also compares known strategies, concepts and methods used to achieve production flexibility. Similarly, the practical knowledge and current research will be drawn upon and subjected to a sound scientific analysis, through which the technical and organizational flexibility ranges can be measured in their application in a production system. The convenience and usefulness of this concept for manufacturers is substantiated by its implementation in a software tool called ecoFLEX and its practical application, based on extensive examples. This illustrates how flexibility flaws can be quickly identified, classified and properly disposed of using ecoFLEX. This tool helps to close the gap between ERP / PPS systems and digital factory planning tools.

This book provides a practical guide to digital supply chain modelling, demonstrating an agile approach to how such models can be applied to any manufacturing company to build competitive advantage, facilitate new business models and drive towards Industry 4.0. The agile approach of the book provides an attractive alternative to the conventional country-by-country deployment of S/4 HANA and other relevant technologies. This book contains the expertise Gotz G. Wehberg has amassed over 20 years as a senior partner in a leading consulting company, working across industries and with globally recognized clients, advising on digitization. In it, he explains the scientific roots of digital supply chain management such as holism, cybernetics, self-organization and evolutionary theory to inform a deep understanding that can drive a supremely innovative strategy for Industry 4.0. Beyond strategy, Wehberg introduces the practical tools and technologies used in supply chain modelling, for example, sensors, big data, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, as well as a reference framework that categorizes the technologies, together with the latest concepts and tools, such as DDMRP, predictive S&OP, pattern recognition, autonomous logistics and Lean. This framework supports decision making for developing supply chains in an end-to-end and cross-functional fashion, providing clear guidance for executives and managers on how to design supply chains for the future.
