Control Of Semiconductor Interfaces written by I. Ohdomari and has been published by Elsevier this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-05-03 with Science categories.
This book focuses exclusively on control of interfacial properties and structures for semiconductor device applications from the point of view of improving and developing novel electrical properties. The following topics are covered: metal-semiconductors, semiconductor hetero-interfaces, characterization, semiconducting new materials, insulator-semiconductor, interfaces in device, control of interface formation, control of interface properties, contact metallization.A variety of up-to-date research topics such as atomic layer epitaxy, atomic layer passivation, atomic scale characterization including STM and SR techniques, single ion implementation, self-organization crystal growth, in situ measurements for process control and extremely high-spatial resolution analysis techniques, are also included. Furthermore it bridges the macroscopic, mesoscopic, and atomic-scale regimes of semicondutor interfaces, describing the state of the art in forming, controlling and characterizating unique semiconductor interfaces, which will be of practical importance in advanced devices. Intended for both technologists who require an up-to-date assessment of methods for interface formation, processing and characterization, and solid state researchers who desire the latest developments in understanding the basic mechanisms of interface physics, chemistry and electronics, this book will be a welcome addition to the existing literature.

Excitonic Effects And Bandgap Instabilities In Perovskite Solar Cells written by Ruf, Fabian and has been published by KIT Scientific Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-07-22 with Science categories.
Perovskite solar cells are the new hope of next-generation photovoltaic concepts for sustainable energy generation. Regarding their favorable optoelectronic properties, bound electron-hole pairs (so-called excitons) play a significant role and are thoroughly investigated utilizing various spectroscopic methods. Moreover, bandgap instabilities caused by segregation effects in mixed perovskites are analyzed in detail using electroreflectance spectroscopy and structural characterization techniques.

Optical Properties Of Semiconductor Nanostructures written by Marcin L. Sadowski and has been published by Springer Science & Business Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-06 with Science categories.
Optical methods for investigating semiconductors and the theoretical description of optical processes have always been an important part of semiconductor physics. Only the emphasis placed on different materials changes with time. Here, a large number of papers are devoted to quantum dots, presenting the theory, spectroscopic investigation and methods of producing such structures. Another major part of the book reflects the growing interest in diluted semiconductors and II-IV nanosystems in general. There are also discussions of the fascinating field of photonic crystals. `Classical' low dimensional systems, such as GsAs/GaAlAs quantum wells and heterostructures, still make up a significant part of the results presented, and they also serve as model systems for new phenomena. New materials are being sought, and new experimental techniques are coming on stream, in particular the combination of different spectroscopic modalities.

One of the first books to cover advanced silicon-based technologies, Advanced Silicon and Semiconducting Silicon Alloy-Based Materials and Devices presents important directions for research into silicon, its alloy-based semiconducting devices, and its development in commercial applications. The first section deals with single/mono crystalline silicon, focusing on the effects of heavy doping; the structure and electronic properties of defects and their impact on devices; the MBE of silicon, silicon alloys, and metals; CVD techniques for silicon and silicon germanium; the material properties of silicon germanium strained layers; silicon germanium heterojunction bipolar applications; FETs, IR detectors, and resonant tunneling devices in silicon, silicon germanium, and d-doped silicon; and the fascinating properties of crystalline silicon carbide and its applications. The second section explores polycrystalline silicon. It examines large grain polysilicon substrates for solar cells; the properties, analysis, and modeling of polysilicon TFTs; the technology of polysilicon TFTs in LCD displays; and the use of polycrystalline silicon and its alloys in VLSI applications. With contributors from leading academic and industrial research centers, this book provides wide coverage of fabrication techniques, material properties, and device applications.

Photonic Probes Of Surfaces written by P. Halevi and has been published by Newnes this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-12-02 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This volume is devoted principally to optical spectroscopies of material surfaces and also encompasses scattering techniques and theoretical response analysis as well as spectroscopies. In addition to solid surfaces some attention is also devoted to interfaces between two solids, between a solid and a liquid and to a liquid-vapor interface. These surfaces may be clean and perfect, in which case the purpose of the spectroscopical method at hand is to determine the deviation of the atomic structure in the surface region from that in the bulk, namely the surface reconstruction. Otherwise the surface may be imperfect due to roughness, strain or overlayers, in which case the spectroscopy can yield information on the nature of such imperfections, including the monitoring of growth processes. One of the foremost purposes of surface spectroscopies is to extract information on atomic and molecular adsorbates on solid surfaces. Most of the 10 chapters are concerned with photonic sources of excitation, the respective spectral regions ranging from the far infrared to X-rays.In conclusion this book provides a state-of-the-art review of all major types of photonic probes of surfaces and interfaces and deals with both applications and experiment and theory.
