Le 9 décembre 2022, en pleine période de Coupe du monde de football au Qatar, un scandale de corruption éclabousse le Parlement européen : le qatargate. La désormais ex-vice-présidente Éva Kaïlí, Député socialiste grecque, est incarcérée après que la police belge ait retrouvé à son domicile à Bruxelles des sacs remplis d’argent liquide, argent qu’elle aurait perçu en échange de la défense des intérêts du Qatar. Elle avait déclaré, un mois plus tôt, dans l’enceinte du Parlement européen, que « le Qatar est un chef de file en matière de droits du travail », et ce, malgré les innombrables polémiques en matière de respect des droits des travailleurs sur les chantiers de construction des stades pour le mondial. Ce scandale de corruption présumée, qui allait très vite prendre le nom si évocateur de « Qatargate », surprenait le Vieux Continent. Et pourtant, vingt-deux ans avant sa révélation, à l’automne 2000, le Qatar accueillait chez lui, à Doha, l’ensemble des États musulmans dans un sommet au cours duquel ils adoptaient, sous l’égide de l’ISESCO – l’équivalent de l’UNESCO pour le monde islamique – un protocole envisageant expressément la substitution de l’Islam (rigoriste) à notre civilisation en Occident. Dit autrement : à construire des sociétés régies par les codes de la charia, la loi islamique, en Europe. Tout le plan d’action y était expliqué : développement du communautarisme, de la culture et de l’éducation islamiques, financement de mosquées, mais aussi… identification de sympathisants dans les pays occidentaux. Tout était prévu. Mais l’Occident n’avait rien vu. Ou plutôt, une partie de ses dirigeants, tantôt compromis par les intérêts financiers (à droite) ou par l’idéologie du prétendu « droit à la différence » (à gauche), sinon les deux, avait feint de ne l’avoir su. Pendant ce temps, les Frères musulmans sont parvenus à faire avancer leur agenda rigoriste en Occident. Il est temps de réagir. Mais cela exige encore d’avoir conscience de cette adversité qui nous est, collectivement, Français et Européens, dirigée.
