Lucrare monografică amplă care aduce în prim-plan aspecte istorice, geografice, sociologice şi antropologice referitoare la arealul comunei Bogaţi, o comună din zona dealurilor subcarpatice aflată pe valea Râului Glâmbocel, la limita cu judeţul Dâmboviţa de care a aparţinut din punct de vedere administrativ-teritorial timp de 85 ani, de la înfiinţarea acesteia în 1865 şi până în anul 1950. Comuna Bogaţi din judeţul Argeş, de care a aparţinut în ultimii 50 ani, formează în prezent o comunitate înfloritoare, cu o administraţie eficientă, aflată în slujba interesului general al cetăţenilor, cu viziune pentru o dezvoltare durabilă. Ca urmare a investiţiilor din ultimii 10 ani, cei peste 4.000 de locuitori din această comună se bucură de o infrastructură modernă pentru mediul rural care este în continuă prefacere şi îmbunătăţire: noi drumuri asfaltate, reţea de apă potabilă, reţea de gaz, curent electric şi iluminat public, cablu TV şi Internet, reţea de canalizare în lucru, grădiniţe şi un Centru de zi pentru copii, două şcoli gimnaziale, Cămin cultural care organizează anual evenimente cultural-artistice, farmacii şi un Centru de permanenţă medicală, şapte biserici parohiale etc.
