Inhaltsangabe:Einleitung: In den letzten Jahren wird dem Islam von vielen westlichen Ländern immer mehr Aufmerksamkeit entgegengebracht. Insbesondere die ökonomischen Aspekte des Islam spielen hierbei eine wichtige Rolle, was vor allem am starken Wachstum des islamischen Finanzmarktes liegt. Islamic Banking gilt danach als eine zukunftsträchtige Branche, welche vor allem in den Golf-Ländern Dank der Öl-Kapitalzuflüsse begünstigt wird. Die Berichterstattungen sowie die Anzahl von Veranstaltungen und Konferenzen zu diesem Thema vor allem in nichtmuslimischen Ländern haben in den letzten Jahren stark zugenommen. Einige Länder wie Großbritannien und die USA entdeckten den Trend der ethischen und religiösen Bankgeschäfte und haben sich diese zunutze gemacht. Im Gegensatz dazu steht Deutschland diesem Trend mit Abstand gegenüber. Dies zeigt sich beispielsweise daran, dass hierzulande bisher keine speziellen Finanzdienstleistungen angeboten werden, die den islamischen Vorschriften folgen, obwohl ca. 4,25 Mio. Muslime in der Bundesrepublik leben. Aufgrund des immer größer werdenden Wettbewerbs unter konventionellen Banken und des Strebens nach nachhaltigen und krisenfesten Finanzsystemen beschäftigen sich deutsche Banken mit der Frage wie sie durch neue Systeme diese Ziele erreichen können. Dies bringt uns zu der Kernfrage dieser Masterarbeit: Gibt es hierzulande ein Marktpotential für Islamic Banking und unter welche Bedingungen können derartige Finanzinstrumente in den deutschen Markt eingegliedert werden? Was charakterisiert das islamische Finanzsystem? Und wie unterscheidet es sich von denen der konventionellen Banken? Kann Islamic Banking eine Erfolgschance für Deutschland haben? Welche Entwicklungsbedingungen müssen beachtet werden, um die Erfolgschancen zu steigern? Dies sind die wesentlichen Fragen, die entlang der vorliegenden Arbeit beantwortet werden sollen. Um einen umfassenden Überblick zu erhalten, ist es sinnvoll zuerst mit der geschichtlichen Entwicklung des Islamic Banking zu beginnen (Kapitel 2). Desweiteren erfolgt eine Darstellung der globalen aktuellen Situation. Das dritte Kapitel beschäftigt sich mit dem theoretischen Teil. Das Ziel dieses Kapitels ist in erster Linie, den muslimischen Glauben und die damit verbundenen Grundsätze und Regeln für die Finanzgeschäfte darzustellen. Um einen umfassenden šberblick zu erhalten, ist es sinnvoll, zuerst mit der geschichtlichen Entwicklung des Islamic Banking zu beginnen (Kapitel 2). Das dritte Kapitel besch„ftigt sich mit dem theoretischen Teil. Das Ziel dieses Kapitels ist in erster Linie, den muslimischen Glauben und die damit verbundenen Grunds„tze und Regeln fr die Finanzgesch„fte darzustellen. Im vierten Kapitel erfolgt eine Darstellung der verschiedenen islamischen Finanzprodukte und Dienstleistungen, die zeigen soll, wie eine islamische Bank funktionieren und Geld verdienen kann. Das fnfte Kapitel beinhaltet eine Gegenberstellung des konventionellen und des islamischen Banksystems und deren Hauptunterschiede. Im sechsten Kapitel wird die Islamic Bank of Britain ?IBB? vorgestellt, welche derzeit sehr erfolgreich das Islamic Banking-Segment in Europa anfhrt. Danach soll im siebten Kapitel das Marktpotenzial in Deutschland untersucht werden. Im Anschluss daran werden die Bedingungen fr die Einfhrung des islamischen Finanzsystems dargestellt, darunter die bankentechnischen und rechtlichen Aspekte, die bei der Eingliederung in das deutsche Bankensystem eine Rolle spielen. Die Arbeit schlieát mit einem Fazit, in dem die Ergebnisse zusammengefasst und die eben aufgeworfenen Fragen beantwortet werden (Kapitel 8).
