"More Poems and Further Musings" is a book of poetry by the acclaimed poet J. Philip Goldberg. In his own unique style, he treats us to his musings that range from the meaning of life to nothing. He gives us pictures of his childhood and the people he's known on his long life journey and his thoughts on life, death, and the oddities of language. Along with memories from his own life memorialized in verse, he offers his version of standard and unusual poetic styles such as the Haiku, Ubi sunt, and the Pantoum, and pays special homage to writers like Mark Twain and Dr. Seuss, and the patron saint of music, St. Cecelia.

ÿInside one of Contemporary India's most Influential Poets The twenty-four papers inÿPhilosophical Musings for a Meaningful Lifeÿstudy the poetry collectionsWinged Reasonÿ(2010),ÿWrite Son, Writeÿ(2011), andÿMulticultural Symphonyÿ(2014), of Dr. K.V. Dominic and reveal his humanistic values and concept of universal brotherhood, his social criticism devoid of absurdity and obscurity, his profound concern for the marginalized sections of society, and his reverence for Nature. All the papers focus on the poet's anguish at the evils and the inhuman attitude prevalent in the society and necessitate harmony of existence. In the context of Indian English poetry, the papers find Dominic to be unique in his use of simple and plain language to address the vast canvass of human life and the neglected segment of human society. Further, the papers bring out how the universal appeal of Dominic lies in his ability to view the world as a sanctuary and acknowledge him as the promising voice of the present century for his belief in the interrelatedness of all lives that ascertains positive change in the individuals. Dr. S. Kumaran, Editor, is working as an Assistant Professor in the Postgraduate & Research Department of English, Thiruvalluvar Government Arts College, Rasipuram. He is Associate Editor of two refereed international biannual journals,ÿWriters Editors Criticsÿ(WEC) andÿInternational Journal on Multicultural Literatureÿ(IJML); and a Member of the Editorial Boards of various journals from India and abroad. "This critical study on the poetry of Dr. K.V. Dominic deserves to be read closely for evaluation and to be on the shelf of every notable library.ÿPhilosophical Musings for a Meaningful Lifeÿwill inspire scholars from the West to find rubies and diamonds in the Indian poetry of today." --Dr. Stephen Gill, Poet Laureate of Ansted University "K.V. Dominic's social consciousness is his chief forte. Not for a moment does he divert attention from the simple and innocent activities of ordinary human beings. From his lyrics originate feelings of eternal sympathy, peace, and fraternal unity." --P.C.K. In this, his third collection of poetry and other musings, Bob Kamm continues to expand and refine his capacity to touch a wider audience than is generally drawn to poetic works. These are real poems for real people from a man of extraordinarily broad life experience. There are poems here that honestly explore the joys, challenges and nuances of love relationships with exceptional sensitivity and lyricism; poems that visit the beauty, pain and complexities of family; poems that reveal the vulnerability and magic of childhood; poems that step into the world and take you from the raucous streets of New York City to the silence of California mountain tops and many places in between; and finally, song lyrics that are touching, illuminating and funny. These are works that should be read out loud in intimate places and wide open spaces. They should be shared with lovers, family, friends and colleagues. As you enter the pages of this book, you will quickly find yourself relaxing into the knowledge that you are in the hands of a masterful artist who truly does care about you and has the courage to ask you to care about him in return.

Excerpt from Musings of the Pilgrim Bard: A Book of Poems As an old time friend and neighbor who has known and admired the Pilgrim Bard for nearly a quarter of a century, I write this brief sketch as a labor of love. Orange Scott Cummins was born in the good old state of Ohio fifty-seven years ago, but at the early age of two years he concluded that it was the part of wisdom for a young man to go west and grow up with the country, and taking his par ents by the hand he started for the then new state of Iowa. It was a wilderness where the family settled. Indians were plentiful and here the future bard became acquainted with the Noble Red Man. The wild free life of the savage appealed to the romantic temperament of the boy. Young Indians were often his playmates. In the Indian camps 'he spent much of his time, and long before he had reached the estate of manhood he was familiar with Indian customs and Indian legends. This fact was probably responsible for the story that was set afloat that a white baby died and that the Indian chief, Gonoe, sympathizing with the grief-stricken mother, brought to her a handsome Indian pappoose which the white mother took and reared as her own, and that in course of years this pappoose grew up to be a poet. This tale, how ever, is legendary. I doubt its authenticity. When the war broke out young Cummins, though hardlyfifteen, burned with a patriotic desire to be a soldier, and a soldier he became. 'as a member of Con. A, 3d Iowa cavalry, he served his country well. At the end of the war he came back to Iowa, but the restlessness of the frontiersman was in his blood. Neighbors had become too plentiful in Iowa and he moved to Kansas. In the early seventies he settled among the canyons of Barber county, at that time the favor ite grazing ground of countless thousands of buffalo and the chosen habitation of the deer, the antelope, the wolf and the mountain lion. On the banks of a clear running and beautiful little stream, which bore the unromantic cognomen of Mule creek, he built his cabin, naming it Last Chance, because it was the last chance the pilgrims heading for the still further western wilds would have to get a meal under a roof.
