Moshe's Children presents the inspiring story of Moshe Zeiri, a Jewish carpenter responsible for rescuing hundreds of Jewish refugee children who had survived the Final Solution. During the liberation of Italy, Zeiri, a volunteer in the British Army in Italy, assumed responsibility for and vowed to help around seven hundred Polish, Hungarian, Russian, and Romanian children. Although these orphans of the Shoah had been deprived of a family, a home, and a language and were irreparably robbed of their past, they were able to rebuild their lives through Zeiri's efforts as he founded the largest Jewish orphanage in postwar Europe in Selvino, Italy, where he began to rehabilitate the orphans and to teach them how to become citizens of the new nation of Israel. Moshe's Children also explores Zeiri's own story from birth in a shtetl to his upbringing and Zionist education, his journey to the Land of Israel, and his work there before the war. With narrative verve and scholarly acumen, Sergio Luzzatto brilliantly tells the gripping stories of these orphans of the Holocaust and the good man who helped point them to a real future.

The World Deserves My Children written by Natasha Leggero and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-11-15 with Humor categories.

A “deeply, darkly funny” (Ali Wong, comedian and New York Times bestselling author) collection of insightful and razor-sharp essays on motherhood in our post-apocalyptic world from comedian Natasha Leggero. When Natasha Leggero got pregnant at forty-two after embarking on the grueling IVF process, she was over the moon. But once her feelings of bliss dissipated, she couldn’t help but shake the lingering question: Am I doing this right? And then, Should I be doing this if the world is about to end? In “by far the funniest book” (Chelsea Handler, New York Times bestselling author) about parenting, Natasha explores themes like “geriatric” pregnancy, parenting in an environmental panic, fear and love, discipline (and conflicting schools of thought on how not to raise a brat), and more. Ultimately, Natasha determines that motherhood is worth it. After all, where do you think the next five generations of humans will be if the only people who are having kids don’t believe in science? The world deserves my children.

The difficult life of the kids makes it impossible for them to survive the harsh rules of the street, when there is no law and the entire system is corrupted. The child is facing a true moral dilemma: what shall he do when he is beaten up? When young girls are raped, and no one is there to help them? Should he give the other chick or find a better way of coping?
