New York Times bestselling author and award-winning educator Ron Clark applies his successful leadership principles to the business world in this effective and accessible guidebook, perfect for any manager looking to inspire and motivate his or her team. Includes a foreword by bestselling author and FranklinCovey executive Sean Covey. Teamwork is crucial to the success of any business, and as acclaimed author and speaker Ron Clark illustrates, the members of any team are the key to unlocking success. Imagine a company as a bus filled with people who either help or hinder a team’s ability to move it forward: drivers (who steer the organization), runners (who consistently go above and beyond for the good of the organization), joggers (who do their jobs without pushing themselves), walkers (who are just getting pulled along), and riders (who hinder success and drag the team down). It’s the team leader’s job to recognize how members fall into these categories, encourage them to keep the “bus” moving by working together, and know when it’s time to kick the riders off. In the tradition of Who Moved My Cheese? and Fish!, Move Your Bus is an accessible and uplifting business parable that illustrates Clark’s expert strategies to maximize the performance of each member of a team. These easy to implement techniques will inspire employees and team leaders alike to work harder and smarter and drive the organization to succeed.

Its Business, Its Personal is an appropriate reminder that building a successful and sustainable business depends on many interdependent factors, not just one latest flavor of the month practice. Saad also reminds us of the vital importance of foundational values and principles guiding an organization. The book goes beyond the theory of business success but also provides very practical how to guidance. Werner Geissler, Vice Chairman of Global Operations, Procter & Gamble Mr. Saad brilliantly demonstrates the need for consumer-centric purpose as a basis for enduring business success. Equally important is his conviction that good organizational practice is rooted in a strong value system. Equipped with twenty-five years of hard-earned business experience at Procter & Gamble, the author goes beyond lofty principles and provides time-honored advice on how to turn a vision into a winning in-market execution. Peter Corijn, Vice President for the Regional Business Unit of Gillette, Procter & Gamble I was proud to have worked with Saad and found him an effective leadera most honest and dependable associate. A person I would like to work with in any assignment. Fouad Kraytem, President Middle East Africa and General Export (MEAGE), Procter & Gamble Saad has captured a treasure trove of insights from his long career at P&G. Insights that contributed to the outstanding success of the subsidiaries he was an important part of. It is almost criminal that non-P&Gers are offered the opportunity to read and learn from this book! Philippe Bovay, Vice President/General Manager , Procter & Gamble Pakistan Excellent synopsis of the entire business exercise of vision setting and its associated processes. Saad captures in tremendous detail the entire process and goes into great depth on how to drive organizational excellence without which the vision would be powerless. The key to executing this process with excellence is what I call BOF i.e. Brutal Obsession with Fundamentals. Al Rajwani, Vice President Arabian Peninsula and Pakistan, Procter & Gamble

It gives me great pleasure to write this book (part one of two) regarding my career with MTA (NYCT). I also outlined what to expect as a new bus operator and what actually took place over the years, especially dealing with some supervisors, but most of all, the ins and outs with passengers and, lastly, the traffic.

In the style of Spencer Johnson's international bestseller Who Moved My Cheese, comes an accessible and uplifting business parable from bestselling author and award-winning educator Ron Clark. Picture a corporation, business, school or team as a bus. The distance the bus travels represents the goals and progress of the organisation. The bus itself has no gas, and is dependent upon the people within to provide the energy to move. Imagine there are holes in the bottom of the bus and that everyone must move the bus with their legs. The people on the bus can be divided into groups according to how fast and how far they push the bus. Runners- These individuals are running as hard as possible and are basically carrying the bus. They come early and they stay late. They never complain and their work ethic is strong. They are the reason for the success of an organisation. Joggersdo their job, and have marginal success. They try to keep up, occasionally sprint, but don't maintain a strong level of effort. They seek to draw attention to themselves as a form of self-validation. Walkersare being pulled by the bus, tripping over their feet and complaining, 'Why are we going so fast?' They talk negatively about the business and spread bad energy. Ridersare dead weight, and cause constant issues. They don't care about overall or personal success. Drivers- The job of the driver is paramount. The driver must steer the bus to the appropriate destination and ensure that all of the passengers are pushing themselves accordingly. Ron Clark draws on his educational experience to show how leaders in all professions can foster the spirit of the runners to allow them to guide the bus, ultimately pushing it as quickly and efficiently towards success as possible.

The Rifle written by Andrew Biggio and has been published by Simon and Schuster this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-06-01 with History categories.
It all started because of a rifle. The Rifle is an inspirational story and hero’s journey of a 28-year-old U.S. Marine, Andrew Biggio, who returned home from combat in Afghanistan and Iraq, full of questions about the price of war. He found answers from those who survived the costliest war of all -- WWII veterans. It began when Biggio bought a 1945 M1 Garand Rifle, the most common rifle used in WWII, to honor his great uncle, a U.S. Army soldier who died on the hills of the Italian countryside. When Biggio showed the gun to his neighbor, WWII veteran Corporal Joseph Drago, it unlocked memories Drago had kept unspoken for 50 years. On the spur of the moment, Biggio asked Drago to sign the rifle. Thus began this Marine’s mission to find as many WWII veterans as he could, get their signatures on the rifle, and document their stories. For two years, Biggio traveled across the country to interview America’s last-living WWII veterans. Each time he put the M1 Garand Rifle in their hands, their eyes lit up with memories triggered by holding the weapon that had been with them every step of the war. With each visit and every story told to Biggio, the veterans signed their names to the rifle. 96 signatures now cover that rifle, each a reminder of the price of war and the courage of our soldiers.
