This book investigates the multiuser communication and its key technology—multiple access technology, as well as transceiving design methods. Multiple access methods toward B5G and 6G currently allows the superposition transmissions of multiuser signals with controllable mutual interference. By deploying advanced multiuser detector, current technology significantly enhances the connectivity, improves the spectral efficiency and simplifies the signaling interactions. Considering that the major challenge of current multiple access technology is the design of transceiver due to the overlapped and distorted signals from multiple users, we analyze the promising candidate multiple access schemes and then develop some sights on how to formulate the transmit signals and how to achieve efficient symbol recovery. Specifically, the incorporation of constellation rotation, rate splitting and deep learning techniques in enhancing the transmission efficiency of multiple access technology are considered.

Over the past few decades, wireless access networks have evolved extensively to support the tremendous growth of consumer traffic. This superlative growth of data consumption has come about due to several reasons, such as evolution of the consumer devices, the types of telephone and smartphone being used, convergence of services, digitisation of economic transactions, tele-education, telemedicine, m-commerce, virtual reality office, social media, e-governance, e-security, to name but a few.Not only has the society transformed to a digital world, but also the expectations from the services provided have increased many folds. The last mile/meters of delivery of all e-services is now required to be wireless. It has always been known that wireless links are the bottleneck to providing high data rates and high quality of service. Several wireless signalling and performance analysis techniques to overcome the hurdles of wireless channels have been developed over the last decade, and these are fuelling the evolution of 4G towards 5G. Evolution of Air Interface Towards 5G attempts to bring out some of the important developments that are contributing towards such growth.

Ambient Networks written by Norbert Niebert and has been published by John Wiley & Sons this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007-04-30 with Technology & Engineering categories.

Ambient Networks defines a new kind of network architecture, which embeds support for co operation and competition between diverse network types within a common control layer. This unified networking concept can adapt to the heterogeneous environments of different radio technologies and service and network environments. Special focus is placed on facilitating both competition and co-operation of various market players, by defining interfaces which allow the instant negotiation of cooperation agreements. The Ambient Networking concept has been developed in the framework of the Ambient Networks project, which is co-sponsored by the European Union under the Information Society Technology (IST) priority of the 6th Framework Programme. The Ambient Networks project mobilised the work of researchers from over forty different organisations, both major industrial corporations and leading academic institutions, from Europe and worldwide. This book offers a complete and detailed overview of the Ambient Networking concept and its core technologies. The authors explain the problems with current mobile IP networks and the need for a new mobility-aware IP-based control architecture, before presenting the Ambient Networking concept itself and the business opportunities that it offers. The architecture, components, features and challenges of Ambient Networking are covered in depth, with comprehensive discussions of multi-radio access, generic Ambient Network signalling, mobility support, context and network management and built-in media delivery overlay control. Ambient Networks: Co-operative Mobile Networking for the Wireless World Explains the need for Ambient Networking, discussing the limitations of today’s proposed architectures, and explaining the business potential of edge networks and network co-operation. Describes Ambient Networking technology in detail, and addresses the technical challenges for implementation. Includes practical user scenarios which are fully analysed and assessed through simulation studies. Including a complete examination of the research and technologies arising from the Ambient Networks concept, Ambient Networks will be invaluable for research and development teams in networking and communications technology, as well as advanced students in electrical engineering and computer science faculties. Standardisation specialists, research departments, and telecommunications analysts will also find this a helpful resource.

This book explores wireless communication elements, focusing on mm and THz wave generation, specifications, material innovations, machine learning integration, and applications. Computational methods like genetic algorithms and artificial neural networks optimize mm-wave and THz devices. The microwave spectrum is often crowded, making millimeter (mm-wave) and terahertz frequencies the preferred choice for next-generation high-end applications. Millimeter-wave (mm-Wave) fifth-generation (5G) communication technology addresses reduced time delays, increased data transmission speeds, and minimized energy consumption, crucial for diverse user devices. While 5G networks advance with Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) multiplexing and mm-wave communications, the THz band offers even greater spectrum availability for systems like 6G. The surge in THz systems research aims to meet expanding technological demands, promising unprecedented data rates. THz-wave technology finds applications in wireless communications, remote sensing, and chemical analysis. For THz-wave technologists, this book is a valuable resource, covering research trends and demands, along with computational/simulation methods. Topics include Terahertz passive circuit modeling, mm-wave device simulation, Terahertz metrology, data transmission via mm-wave and THz signals, high-speed channel modeling, antenna design, graphene applications in 6G devices, THz absorbers, and sensors.
