Practical reference on the latest sensory and consumer evaluation techniques available to professionals and academics working in food and consumer goods product development and marketing This unique manual describes how to implement specific sensory and consumer methods based on context and objective. Presented in a direct and straightforward language that will speak to the industry professionals and academics who are on the ground attempting to solve technical questions, it reviews, step by step, the various stages of a product evaluation. Included are practical examples from many industries that practitioners can relate to. The book also shows how to build a sustainable short-, medium-, and long-term product evaluation strategy, and guides readers on how to create customized methods, or even completely new approaches. Consumer and Sensory Evaluation Techniques speaks to management and decision-makers within organizations and addresses the main questions (eg: "How much will it cost?" and "How quickly can it be achieved?") that are faced when developing and testing new products before a launch. Chapters cover: the pillars of good consumer and sensory studies; sensory profile of a product: mapping internal sensory properties; the foundations of consumer evaluation; study plans and strategy—sustainable short, mid and long-term vision; real-life anticipation with market factors: concept, price, brand, market channel; and internal studies versus sub-contracting. Uses examples from multiple sectors to show how to build a sustainable product evaluation strategy Analyses the critical milestones to follow and the pitfalls to avoid Supports the decision-making process while developing fast yet robust test strategies that will increase the likelihood of a product's success Consumer and Sensory Evaluation Techniques is the perfect resource for students, faculty and professionals working in product development, including formulators and marketers.

Simultaneous Global New Drug Development written by Gang Li and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-29 with Mathematics categories.
Global simultaneous development is becoming more necessary as the cost of developing medical products continues to grow. The strategy of using multiregional clinical trials (MRCTs) has become the preferred method for developing new medicines. Implementing the same protocol to include subjects from many geographical regions around the world, MRCTs can speed up the patient enrolment, thus resulting in quicker drug development and obtaining faster approval of the drug globally. After the publication of the editors’ first volume on this topic, there have been new developments on MRCTs. The International Council for Harmonisation (ICH) issued ICH E17, a guideline document on MRCTs, in November 2017, laying out principles on MRCTs. Beyond E17, new methodologies have been developed as well. Simultaneous Global New Drug Development: Multi-Regional Clinical Trials after ICH E17 collects chapters providing interpretations of principles in ICH E17 and new ideas of implementing MRCTs. Authors are from different regions, and from academia and industry. In addition, in contrast to the first book, new perspectives are brought to MRCT from regulatory agencies. This book will be of particular interest to biostatisticians working in late stage clinical development of medical products. It will also be especially helpful for statisticians in regulatory agencies, and medical research institutes. This book is comprehensive across the MRCT topic spectrum, including Issues regarding ICH E17 Implementation MRCT Design and Analysis Methodologies Perspectives from authorities in regulatory agencies, as well as statisticians practicing in the medical product industry Many examples of real-life applications based on actual MRCTs.

Ranking Of Multivariate Populations written by Livio Corain and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-09-20 with Mathematics categories.
Ranking of Multivariate Populations: A Permutation Approach with Applications presents a novel permutation-based nonparametric approach for ranking several multivariate populations. Using data collected from both experimental and observation studies, it covers some of the most useful designs widely applied in research and industry investigations, such as multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) and multivariate randomized complete block (MRCB) designs. The first section of the book introduces the topic of ranking multivariate populations by presenting the main theoretical ideas and an in-depth literature review. The second section discusses a large number of real case studies from four specific research areas: new product development in industry, perceived quality of the indoor environment, customer satisfaction, and cytological and histological analysis by image processing. A web-based nonparametric combination global ranking software is also described. Designed for practitioners and postgraduate students in statistics and the applied sciences, this application-oriented book offers a practical guide to the reliable global ranking of multivariate items, such as products, processes, and services, in terms of the performance of all investigated products/prototypes.
