Basic Hypergeometric Series written by George Gasper and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2004-10-04 with Mathematics categories.
This revised and expanded new edition will continue to meet the needs for an authoritative, up-to-date, self contained, and comprehensive account of the rapidly growing field of basic hypergeometric series, or q-series. Simplicity, clarity, deductive proofs, thoughtfully designed exercises, and useful appendices are among its strengths. The first five chapters cover basic hypergeometric series and integrals, whilst the next five are devoted to applications in various areas including Askey-Wilson integrals and orthogonal polynomials, partitions in number theory, multiple series, orthogonal polynomials in several variables, and generating functions. Chapters 9-11 are new for the second edition, the final chapter containing a simplified version of the main elements of the theta and elliptic hypergeometric series as a natural extension of the single-base q-series. Some sections and exercises have been added to reflect recent developments, and the Bibliography has been revised to maintain its comprehensiveness.

TheH-function or popularly known in the literature as Fox’sH-function has recently found applications in a large variety of problems connected with reaction, diffusion, reaction–diffusion, engineering and communication, fractional differ- tial and integral equations, many areas of theoretical physics, statistical distribution theory, etc. One of the standard books and most cited book on the topic is the 1978 book of Mathai and Saxena. Since then, the subject has grown a lot, mainly in the elds of applications. Due to popular demand, the authors were requested to - grade and bring out a revised edition of the 1978 book. It was decided to bring out a new book, mostly dealing with recent applications in statistical distributions, pa- way models, nonextensive statistical mechanics, astrophysics problems, fractional calculus, etc. and to make use of the expertise of Hans J. Haubold in astrophysics area also. It was decided to con ne the discussion toH-function of one scalar variable only. Matrix variable cases and many variable cases are not discussed in detail, but an insight into these areas is given. When going from one variable to many variables, there is nothing called a unique bivariate or multivariate analogue of a givenfunction. Whatever be the criteria used, there may be manydifferentfunctions quali ed to be bivariate or multivariate analogues of a given univariate function. Some of the bivariate and multivariateH-functions, currently in the literature, are also questioned by many authors.

I Function And Its Applications written by Vinod Prakash Saxena and has been published by CRC Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-11-21 with Mathematics categories.
This book presents the essential role of mathematical modelling and computational methods in representing physical phenomena mathematically, focusing on the significance of the I-function. Serving as a generalized form of special functions, particularly generalised hypergeometric functions, the I-function emerges from solving dual integral equations, prevalent in scenarios such as mixed boundary problems in potential theory, energy diffusion, and population dynamics. Offers the most recent developments on I-function and their application in mathematical modelling and possible applications to some other research areas Expands the area of special functions that have been developed and applied in a variety of fields, such as combinatory, astronomy, applied mathematics, physics, and engineering Highlights the importance of fundamental results and techniques based on the theory of complex analysis and emphasizes articles devoted to the mathematical aspect and applications Shows the importance of fundamental results and techniques derived from the theory of complex analysis, laying the groundwork for further exploration and potential applications of the I-function in solving complex problems Discusses dual integral equations solving and its crucial role in various physical phenomena, such as potential theory and population dynamics Expanding the field of special functions, I-function and Its Applications serves as a platform for recent theories and applications, offering students, researchers, and scholars of Mathematics insight into advanced mathematical techniques and their practical implications across various fields.

Gauss Hypergeometric Function written by Ravi Dwivedi and has been published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2024-12-02 with Science categories.
This book presents a novel journey of the Gauss hypergeometric function and contains the different versions of the Gaussian hypergeometric function, including its classical version. In particular, the $q$-Gauss or basic Gauss hypergeometric function, Gauss hypergeometric function with matrix arguments, Gauss hypergeometric function with matrix parameters, the matrix-valued Gauss hypergeometric function, the finite field version, the extended Gauss hypergeometric function, the $(p, q)$- Gauss hypergeometric function, the incomplete Gauss hypergeometric function and the discrete analogue of Gauss hypergeometric function. All these forms of the Gauss hypergeometric function and their properties are presented in such a way that the reader can understand the working algorithm and apply the same for other special functions. This book is useful for UG and PG students, researchers and faculty members working in the field of special functions and related areas.

The classical story - of the hypergeometric functions, the configuration space of 4 points on the projective line, elliptic curves, elliptic modular functions and the theta functions - now evolves, in this book, to the story of hypergeometric funktions in 4 variables, the configuration space of 6 points in the projective plane, K3 surfaces, theta functions in 4 variables. This modern theory has been established by the author and his collaborators in the 1990's; further development to different aspects is expected. It leads the reader to a fascinating 4-dimensional world. The author tells the story casually and visually in a plain language, starting form elementary level such as equivalence relations, the exponential function, ... Undergraduate students should be able to enjoy the text.
