Case examples accentuate this information. Diagnostic testing (x-rays, MRI etc) are discussed from the perspective of "are they really needed and why", "how do they help and can the physician get along without them", "what views are needed" etc. Treatment stresses non-surgical aspects but surgery is discussed from the point of view of when the physician should think about it and when to refer the patient to an orthopeadic surgeon.
