Kitab Al-Jami'ush-Shaghir ini berusaha menghimpun hadits Nabi yang tersebar dalam puluhan ribu halaman menjadi satu jilid. Khusus bagi para pelajar dan ilmuwan bisa menyederhanakan referensi, dia tidak perlu menuliskan referensi tiga puluh kitab hadits dan belasan perawi dan penyusun kitab hadits tetapi bisa menyederhanakannya hanya dengan merujuk kitab ini saja. Menerjemah kitab Faidhul-Qadir merupakan pekerjaan yang berat menurut kami, maka kami sementara masih menerjemahkan kitab Al-Jami'ush-Shaghir itu pun tidak komplit 10.031 hadits, yaitu buku ini. Buku ini merupakan mukhtarat (pilihan) dari 10.031 tapi bukan mukhtashar (ringkasan), sebagai awwalan dengan harapan Allah kemudian mentaqdirkan kami bisa menerjemahkan lengkap 10.031 hadits tersebut. Buku ini adalah terjemahan 492 hadits pilihan dari kitab Al-Jami'ush-Shaghir. Kami sertakan pula syarah singkat dari masing-masing hadits berdasarkan penjelasan Imam Al-Munawiyy dalam Faidhul-Qadir dan Ash-Shan'aniyy dalam At-Tanwir dan catatan dari beberapa buku kami.

Muḥammad ibn Ṣāliḥ al-’Uthaymīn (selanjutnya MBSU) (1929-2001 M) adalah ulama Salafiyyun lahir di ‘Unayzah, provinsi al-Qaṣīm, Kerajaan Saudi Arabia (selanjutnya KSA), memiliki sanad hingga Muḥammad ibn ‘Abd al-Wahhāb (1703-1792 M), memiliki karya akademis yang sangat banyak diantaranya kitab cetak lebih dari 142 judul, mulai dari yang berupa booklet hingga yang berjilid-jilid besar, wafat di Jeddah, dimakamkan di komplek pekuburan al-’Adl, Makkah, murid utama Shaykh ‘Abd al-Raḥmān ibn Nāṣir al-Sa’diyy dan Shaykh ‘Abd al-’Azīz ibn ‘Abdullāh ibn Bāz. Penulis (Brilly El-Rasheed) adalah murid ideologis Shaykh 'Uthaymīn melalui jalur Ust. Dr. Ainul Haris Umar Thayyib, Lc., M.Ag., murid Shaykh Muḥammad al-Khalaf pendiri Yayasan al-Sofwa Jakarta yang mana beliau adalah murid langsung MBSU. Jadi peneliti punya sanad dengan jarak 2 ṭabaqah dengan MBSU. Atas instruksi Ust. Ainul Haris penulis menjadi editor buku karya MBSU yang berjudul Memandu Kebangkitan Islam, terjemahan dari al-Ṣaḥwah al-Islāmiyyah.
