This book contains "Reminding-Us-of God" poems inspired by the Holy Spirit. Though personal in nature, they stimulate the reader to meditate on the ways one can see God's had at work in every day life. Whether it's through a sea gull, the wind, bags of leaves, feelings of guilt, sorrow, joy, or in just waiting in a room full of people, it does not matter. We can receive a life lesson from anything, any time, any where.

See website: http://originlasbyweber.com AOF 8/27/03 ANCHORS OF FAITH IS A BOOK THAT TELLS YOU HOW TO HAVE MORE FUN IN YOUR LIFE! One time, when I was on the road as a salesman, just for fun, I took a survey of the people I met every day for a whole week. I asked each person to describe his or her life to me in a few short words. I wrote down their comments and later arranged them into two groups of responses. From the first group (#1) I heard comments like: life is boring, a sad saga, annoying, many struggles, very challenging, filled with emotional ups and downs, very bland, like a roller coaster, always dull, difficult, unpredictable, strained, disgusting. But, there was a second group (#2) who replied with enthusiasm. They said things like: my life is good! Great! Expectant! A blast! Pregnant! Peaceful! Quiet! Blessed! Happy and - lots of fun! If were to ask you to describe your life to me, would you respond like those in negative group #1 or as those in positive group #2? Well if you find yourself in negative group #1, Ive got good news for you. You can learn how to put all of that behind you. You can acquire a positive, optimistic outlook and at the same time put more fun in your life! How? READ THIS BOOK! You see, in my book I explain, with many examples and true stories how God demonstrated again and again to me that his greatest desire is to be our best friend. Our buddy. Our guide. But, best of all, he wants us to see him as our own personal loving father who wants nothing less than the best of everything for us - as his son or daughter because he loves us so very much. As I prayerfully wrote this book (Anchors Of Faith) about events in my life, I realized that there was something "mysterious" happening in each story. I dont mean this is a "mystery" book, but, instead, as you read it, I believe you will be aware of what I call the "mysterious" spiritual message God has put in this book especially for you. That message seems to be written "between the lines" of what I wrote. My words and thoughts are simply my honest attempt to explain to you, by way of many examples and stories about my life, the hundreds of ways God wants to help us have interesting and enjoyable lives. In addition, he does his best to help us find answers to lifes constant questions about: faith, children, the Bible, fellowship, missions, money, prayer and self worth. So, if you want to find ways to change your attitude about your life, find ways to have more fun and what I call a blast or a party for the rest of your life, you need to read this book soon! Sincerely, Terrance L. Weber

That's What You Think chronicles Sara Ellis's journey from independence to dependence. Although the story is based on her own mother's dilemmas in aging, beginning when her mother turned eighty-eight years-old, Joyce found the writing to be both joyous and cathartic to fictionalize. "The writing helped me to believe that my mother really thought these things that make this book my heartfelt gift to her memory. "For a long time, sadness blocked me from finishing our story, but my mother's dignity and the time I spent with her encouraged me to translate the traumas of aging into a story of love and respect. "Thank you, Mom, for taking me with you in your final hours."

Daydreamers is a novel set in the late 1990s, which follows the parallel stories of two people living in the same Greater London provincial town. They are two very different characters, one male, one female, with one thing in common, a dissatisfaction with their everyday lives, which leads them to seek solace and escape in a private world of fantasies and daydreams. Martin is obsessed with sports trivia and struggles to fit in at his work, where he is bullied, whilst Jacqui is an unmarried mum who suffers at the hands of an abusive partner. The novel charts their respective progress through failed attempts at relationships, raised hopes and disappointments, until a chance social event causes their paths to cross, with the burning question, how will they interact when they finally meet? The novel is one of ordinary lives and a search for true love. It examines the theme of how initial appearances can be deceptive and the need to look under the surface to see what people are really like, and to identify the things which are most important in finding long lasting happiness.

During the bleak, heartbreaking days of early 1942, when beleaguered Malta was reeling under bombardment and blockade and Rommel was making his last desperate thrust towards Egypt, only one British submarine was operating in the western Mediterranean - the tiny, 600-ton Unbroken. In twelve months in the Med, Unbroken sank over 30,000 tons of enemy shipping, took part in four secret operations, three successful gun actions, and survived a total of over 400 depth charges, as well as innumerable air and surface attacks. This account of the 26-year-old Alastair Mars' command of this outstandingly successful submarine embraces her construction, sea trials and voyage to Gibraltar preparatory to her vital role in the Mediterranean. Once there, she was responsible for the destruction of two Italian cruisers and played a pivotal part in Operation Pedestal, the convoy that saved Malta from surrender. Alastair Mars writes simply and without pretension, and his words evoke the claustrophobic yet heroic world of the submariner.

Technology is in a constant state of flux, and religion is being called into question. Agent Jack Connors, a silent believer, and his atheist partner, Kate Matthews, find themselves undertaking a mission that will change the course of their lives forever. While pursuing an illegal arms dealer, they are forced to hire soldiers from an enigmatic military research and development company known as Network. But the soldiers there are more than they ever expected. The Network soldiers are devoid of personality, feeling, and choice—perfectly obedient. Once the soldiers have been assigned to kill, nothing can stop them. All this coincides with the rise of religious restrictions promoted by the people’s servant, Senator Randolf Blakard, a man who holds the loyalty and love of the people in the palm of his hand. But just like the Network soldiers, there is more to him than meets the eye. Jack finds himself struggling between his duty and his beliefs, as secrets about Network and their soldiers culminate into a conspiracy over twenty years in the making. Will Jack’s faith help him survive the black fires of persecution and show Kate the power of truth? Or will she end up like the rest—just another empty soul?

Hailed as a “clear-eyed book written with poetry and compassion” by The Boston Globe, Let the Tornado Come is the “lyrical debut memoir” (Kirkus Reviews) of a runaway child, the woman she became, and the horse that set her free. When Rita Zoey Chin was eleven years old, she began running away from home. Her parents’ violence and neglect drove her onto the streets in search of a better life, but what she found instead was a dangerous world of drugs and predatory men—as well as the occasional kindness of strangers. As she hits bottom and then learns to forge a new life for herself, all of her dreams of freedom and beauty pivot on a single, precious memory: a herd of horses running along a roadside fence. A few years later, Rita—now a prizewinning poet and wife of a successful neurosurgeon—appears to have triumphed over her harrowing childhood, until she is struck with a series of debilitating panic attacks that threaten her comfortable new life. Ultimately, it is the memory of those hoofbeats, and the chance arrival of a spirited, endearing horse named Claret who has a difficult history himself, that will finally save her. “A near euphoric ode to the human spirit” (Huffington Post), Let the Tornado Come is about pulling yourself up out of the dark and discovering that the greatest escape lies not in running from, but turning towards, those things that frighten you the most; it is “luminous…A haunting yet hopeful saga that shows how trauma and fear can transform themselves into enduring strength” (Publishers Weekly).
