The journey through a significant loss in your life such as the death of a loved one, a special relationship or ailing health is something that no one is truly ever prepared for. Your life is forever changed in that moment. The meaning is lost and it's hard to know how to continue moving forward. This book shares the author's stories of her loss of her baby, going through a divorce, experiencing a debilitating illness and how she guided her teenage daughter through the tragic death of her best friend. She has been writing her thoughts, her emotions and what she has learned from all of her losses since her baby died and has now combined all of it in this book. The insights, teachings and lessons that are shared will provide you with reassurance that what you are feeling and experiencing in your grieving process is normal, how to begin to create meaning in your life once again and provide you with hope for your future. The grieving process, the experience of the void and the choice to live fully once again takes a willingness to accept what is, surrender and release the grief and a decision to move forward and rise.

The journey has its ups and downs as Carol documents the multitude of feelings that she experiences in the journals she wrote after her son committed suicide at the age of eighteen. The journals will help you realize that complete thoughts are not always possible for those dealing with such grief. Your mind wanders, and you will never be the person you were before. Whether you have gone through an unfortunate event in your life or you're struggling to help a loved one in a similar situation, Carol will let you into the feelings of a mother's pain so that you yourself can understand and/or help those around you. While the story is a horrible tragedy, suicide happens, and the loved ones left behind need to band together to cope.

Find hope and peace in the midst of grief Grief does not follow neatly outlined stages. When you're going through it, it feels like it will never end. You jump back and forth between different emotions, sometimes wrestling with many at the same time. But the good news is that peace is possible, even amid the heartache and pain. Practical and straightforward, yet warm and compassionate, Grieving with Hope is packed with short, gospel-centered, topical chapters addressing the issues grieving people face but are often hesitant to mention to others, including: ● feeling alone ● adjusting to a new reality ● dealing with insensitive comforters ● forgiving those responsible for the death ● anger with God ● and more Life is never the same after you lose someone. But this honest and hope-filled book can help you grieve in a healthy way that leads to ultimate healing.

Do you know a child who has faced a deep loss, such as the death of a parent, sibling or grandparent? Are you looking for a way to help them sort out their thoughts and emotions? My Grief Journey: Coloring Book and Journal for Kids is for any age (including adult "kids") who are learning how to live after the death of someone dearly loved and deeply missed. It is different from all the other coloring books out there. Each coloring page has a word surrounded by beautiful artwork which is intentionally hand drawn. Each word has two pages to help the child think about and explore a specific word or emotion (such as helpless, fear, memories, hope, comfort, truth, thankful, etc.) through coloring, drawing and writing. The coloring page has a scroll with a "prompt," to help them get started in thinking how they might feel about something. The prompt can be answered inside the scroll by either writing or drawing. We have also included an extra page for each word to allow more room for drawing or writing. On the page opposite the picture, you will find where award-winning author, Laura Diehl, shares her own thoughts, intertwined with what God has shown her about that word, along with a bible verse. Laura was an international children's minister and trainer for many years. This book is a simplified version of My Grief Journey: Coloring Book and Journal for Grieving Parents, using twenty-nine of the forty-two words (and adding one word not in the adult book). This was done intentionally, so that a parent and child can do many of the pages together if there has been a sibling loss for the child.
