Finding it harder and harder to keep track of your online passwords? Seem like every site you visit wants you to register and create an account along with a username and password? And, then they want you create a brand new password every 90, 120, or 150 days? Do you have your important passwords written on small pieces of paper and stuffed in your wallet, purse, or desk drawer? Do you have post-it sticky notes stuck to your computer screen with usernames and passwords jotted down? As the Internet gets more and more complicated, and more and more bad guys are out there trying to hack into your computer, you must remain vigilant and keep making stronger and stronger passwords. No longer can you use admin and 12345 as your username and password. You need a strong password and you should change any default username (like admin) You must have a complex, strong password to avoid brute force attacks. Bruce Schneier said this in 2005 - "Simply, people can no longer remember passwords good enough to reliably defend against dictionary attacks, and are much more secure if they choose a password too complicated to remember and then write it down. We're all good at securing small pieces of paper. I recommend that people write their passwords down on a small piece of paper, and keep it with their other valuable small pieces of paper: in their wallet." Fourteen years have passed and we have too many passwords for our wallets. We need to write them down lest we forget them, but not on little pieces of paper. We need to write them down in the Password Tracker. This 6X9 inch, 120 page Password Tracker book is the perfect size for desk drawer at home, your pocket or purse, or your gym bag or backpack. Just don't lose it! Strong passwords contain a mix of lower and upper case letters, numbers and special characters. Ffd@tF6JXT9$n@QNB5Y and Kk7(rmV8&TX3CwuRt&^ are examples of strong passwords but are very difficultu to memorize and remember. Your web browser may or may not save passwords for you but what happens when your computer crashes or your browser update deletes all your stored passwords? Write your usernames and passwords in the Password Tracker, keep it secure, and update your strong passwords regularly.

A lively illustrated guide “filled with clever tips and tricks for remembering like a memory champion” (Joshua Foer, New York Times–bestselling author of Moonwalking with Einstein). Throughout his research into memory theory, four-time USA Memory Champion Nelson Dellis found existing memory improvement guides to be wanting—overcomplicated, dry, and stodgy. So he decided to write a book that is approachable and fun, centered on what people actually need to remember. In Remember It!, Dellis teaches us how to make the most of our memory, using his competition-winning techniques. Presenting the information in a user-friendly way, Dellis offers bite-size chapters, addressing things we wish we could remember but often forget: names, grocery lists, phone numbers, where you left your keys—you name it! This fast-paced, highly illustrated tour of the inner workings of the brain makes improving your memory simple and fun.

Dragnet Nation written by Julia Angwin and has been published by Times Books this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-02-25 with Political Science categories.

An inside look at who's watching you, what they know and why it matters. We are being watched. We see online ads from websites we've visited, long after we've moved on to other interests. Our smartphones and cars transmit our location, enabling us to know what's in the neighborhood but also enabling others to track us. And the federal government, we recently learned, has been conducting a massive data-gathering surveillance operation across the Internet and on our phone lines. In Dragnet Nation, award-winning investigative journalist Julia Angwin reports from the front lines of America's surveillance economy, offering a revelatory and unsettling look at how the government, private companies, and even criminals use technology to indiscriminately sweep up vast amounts of our personal data. In a world where we can be watched in our own homes, where we can no longer keep secrets, and where we can be impersonated, financially manipulated, or even placed in a police lineup, Angwin argues that the greatest long-term danger is that we start to internalize the surveillance and censor our words and thoughts, until we lose the very freedom that makes us unique individuals. Appalled at such a prospect, Angwin conducts a series of experiments to try to protect herself, ranging from quitting Google to carrying a "burner" phone, showing how difficult it is for an average citizen to resist the dragnets' reach. Her book is a cautionary tale for all of us, with profound implications for our values, our society, and our very selves.
