I am a part of a traveling ministry and visit home churches around the United States. Starting in late 2002. In that time I have seen a great many Christians from all around the nation in many different situations. I had what I thought Christians were like and what they did and didn't do. But quickly found out that Christians didn't always act the way they should or knew one thing really well, but not another. Things I've seen that repeated over and over again, in many situations. It's not like you can go up to someone and tell them what they are doing very easily. I felt it was better for me to write about what I have seen and what should be. I have also written in this book about my personal struggles to attain godliness. I view dying to self as a continual process, and that one has never fully arrived; there are many veils peeled away in due process. I believe that there are still levels of maturity that are not even attained yet. I felt I could fully say what I would like all Christians to hear. This is my portion, and it is incomplete, because everybody has a piece to the puzzle. "We need to have humility to take our pieces and to put them together"(paraphrased Rick Joyner). I'm not the all in all who knows all things, I'm not perfect. I am not an intense person, so I try to say things in such a way to try to not offend, but on the other side, I feel that the truth needs to be said. I think we often overlook the simple things Jesus said in the gospels, many things that we often forget about. This book was written in spurts all around the nation over a period of about 15 years. If you want to know what the book is about, the easiest way is to go through the chapters list (topics). Self Exposed written by Clay A. Henry and has been published by Winepress Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2010 with Christian literature categories.

The Way of the Cross Is the Way of Joy What did Jesus mean when He told us to deny ourselves and take up a cross (Matthew 16:24)? The idea evokes images of Christians who sigh and moan, ¿This [fill in the blank with the bothersome circumstance of the day] is just my cross to bear.¿ Or perhaps we think that those who take these commands most literally will unhappily walk the streets dragging wooden beams. Self Exposed presents an entirely different picture. By viewing the dynamic nature of the spiritual self through in-depth exposition and analysis, author Clay Henry shows that embracing Jesus¿ directives bring freedom and joy! When we deny ourselves and pick up a cross, we release control of our lives. As Henry points out, a person who was crucified no longer directs his or her future. Carrying a cross releases us to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, to grow in faith, and to live an increasingly, meaningful life on earth.

A critically acclaimed #1 New York Times best-seller with more than one million copies in print! Now a major motion picture. Gritty with pain, betrayal, and brutality, this incredible true story also shines with an unexpected, life-changing love. Meet Denver, raised under plantation-style slavery in Louisiana until he escaped the “Man” in the 1960’s by hopping a train. Untrusting, uneducated, and violent, he spends 18 years on the streets of Dallas and Fort Worth. Meet Ron Hall, a self-made millionaire in the world of high-priced deals—an international arts dealer who moves between upscale New York galleries and celebrities. It seems unlikely that these two men would meet under normal circumstances, but when Deborah Hall, Ron's wife, meets Denver, she sees him through God's eyes of compassion. When Deborah is diagnosed with cancer, she charges Ron with the mission of helping Denver. From this request, an extraordinary friendship forms between Denver and Ron, changing them both forever. A tale told in two unique voices, Same Kind of Different as Me weaves two completely different life experiences into one common journey. There is pain and laughter, doubt and tears, and in the end a triumphal story that readers will never forget.
