This book is a journey through a complex world; feelings and psychology of human kind. I am not expecting you to agree with me, but hopefully you look at each reflection I wrote as someone's life which needs to be counted. Many individuals have no voice or forced to swallow theirs. Many factors contribute to these few oppressive situations which I have chosen to share with you. As many others, they basically ripped off my heart and soul. No matter if they were a consequence of miss-interpretation or lack of understanding of the intention of religion; unchallenged culture or custom or just a manifestation of an intended heartless and cruel misuse of power, they deeply affected people's life as much as mine. I hope I can relate to you all, knowing where I come from. Thank you for taking the time to read my collection.

Guild of Food Writer’s Awards, Highly Commended in ‘General Cookbook’ category (2021) Root, Stem, Leaf, Flower is a cookbook about plants – it's about making the most of the land's bounty in your everyday cooking. Making small changes to the way we cook and eat can both lessen the impact we have on the environment and dramatically improve our health and wellbeing: good for us and for future generations to come. Making plants and vegetables the focus of your meals can improve your cooking exponentially - they provide a feast of flavours, colours and textures. Root, Stem, Leaf, Flower is a true celebration of seasonal vegetables and fruit, packed with simple and surprisingly quick vegetarian recipes. With roots, we think of the crunch of carrots, celeriac, beetroot. From springtime stems like our beloved asparagus and rhubarb, through leaves of every hue (kale, radicchio, chard), when the blossoms become the fruits of autumn – apples, pears, plums – the food year is marked by growth, ripening and harvest. With 120 original recipes, every dish captured by acclaimed photographer Andrew Montgomery, and Gill's ideas for using the very best fresh ingredients, Root, Stem, Leaf, Flower is a thoughtful, inspiring collection of recipes that you'll want to come back to again and again. Praise for Time: "I love Gill Meller's food: it is completely his own, and ranges from the (unpretentiously) rarified to the smile-inducingly cosy; indeed, he often seems to fuse the two... his recipes make me want to run headlong into the kitchen." – Nigella Lawson "Gill Meller's latest cookbook, Time, is poetic and romantic – a string of beautiful recipes guide you through the seasons. – Yotam Ottolenghi, Guardian Praise for Gather: "My book of the autumn and possibly of the year... Gather is a perfect expression of something food writers have been trying to define for the past three decades: modern British cooking." – Diana Henry "Just stunning. There's no one I'd rather cook for me than Gill and there's not a recipe here I wouldn't eagerly devour." – Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall

My Roots And Blossoms written by Diantha Ain and has been published by iUniverse this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-07 with Biography & Autobiography categories.

In the early twentieth century in the United States, times and activities were radically different from the present day. The pace of everyday life was considerably slower, and children were allowed much more freedom, especially in country towns like Colonia, New Jersey, where this story begins. As a new development of custom homes emerges in this pastoral setting, new friendships and families grow with it, allowing their lives to mix and blend with each other. This was the world that Diantha Ain lived in as a child. In this collection of stories and verse, share in the joys, troubles, and sorrows that life brought to her and her family. The stressful news of the world interrupted daily life only in brief segments on the radio. Ain recalls a simple, four-room schoolhouse with six grades that offered exceptional opportunities for young minds and spirits. In My Roots and Blossoms, you will follow a precocious little girl through the Great Depression during the 1930s, as she finds the inspiration, creativity, courage, faith, and ambition that eventually shape her entire life. This charming collection of remembrances, poetry, and memories of years past will charm young and old alike.

Baudelaire, Nietzsche, and Hitler-a poet, a philosopher, and a politician-each profoundly understood the seductive attraction of evil. All three clearly and candidly depicted evil in idealized garb. Underheath superficial appearances of contradiction, we find in their writings uncanny insight into the human essence behind the masks of convention and hypocrisy.
