Complicating the plot, Johnson had an affair with Dallas's wife, making them bitter rivals. This trio devised an intricate plan, even bribing Assistant Cox to murder Johnson inside the villa, all the while fabricating impeccable alibis. Their plot only faltered when Patrick accidentally witnessed them moving Johnson's body, leading them to hastily silence him, causing an unforeseen oversight.
