Este livro se trata de uma investigação dos processos criativos e colaborativos referentes à construção de conhecimento de estudantes de Produção Audiovisual, durante a realização de curtas-metragens adaptados da obra do poeta baiano Waly Salomão. Supõe-se que o percurso da produção audiovisual potencializa a criatividade do indivíduo, exige que ele seja colaborativo e que se relacione obrigatoriamente com outros sujeitos, em um exercício cotidiano e sutil de compreensão das diversidades. Essa ação realizadora também pede que o estudante aja com autonomia e atitude crítica diante das problemáticas específicas desse campo de atuação; habilidades e dimensões humanas indispensáveis a todo indivíduo que necessita lidar, continuadamente, com os processos e fluxos multirreferenciais dessa sociedade da tecnologia e da informação, da qual fazemos parte. Com a finalidade de produzir filmes para seus TCCs, um grupo de estudantes vivencia uma experiência artística e colaborativa de produção fílmica, cuja tarefa é adaptar contos e poesias literárias para o formato audiovisual. A partir do olhar múltiplo do autor e cineasta sobre seu objeto, esse processo é descrito e narrado neste livro e em um documentário que, juntos, buscam identificar e revelar tais dimensões – criatividade, colaboração, autonomia, atitude crítica e compreensão das diversidades –, que emergem a partir desse processo de realização de obras audiovisuais. Desde a elaboração dos roteiros adaptados pelos estudantes até a sessão de exibição dos filmes acadêmicos para o grande público, o documentário vasculha o fazer audiovisual, expondo a sua manufatura, bem como o desenho das relações interpessoais que essa experiência promove, tendo o processo criativo da turma de estudantes, e seus filmes, como mediadores da aprendizagem colaborativa. Ao registrar o processo, as imagens captam e enfatizam procedimentos, técnicas, humores; revelam talentos e amplificam as existências; desvelam o ser humano em processo de formação e transformação. Este livro surge do desejo de tornar essa investigação um material acessível para mais pessoas interessadas em discutir não somente o ensino e a aprendizagem audiovisual, mas também a formação do indivíduo por meio da arte.
