This book is about our Creator and Salvation. The connection between the Bible and Nature [God's Second Book] is best described in Job 12:8: "Speak to the earth, and it will teach you." We Worship our Creator because we owe our Total life and existence to Him. "Fear God and give glory to him, for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship him that made heaven, and sea, and the fountains of waters" (Revelation 14:7 KJV). "He hath made the earth by His Power, He hath established the world by His Wisdom, and hath stretched out the heavens by His Discretion" (Jeremiah 10:12). Author Rick Streight wants everyone to know our Creator God values us far above diamonds, rubies, gold, or silver. Planet Earth was made just for us! Jesus gave his life on Calvary that we may have Forgiveness, Power, and Salvation. Read Isaiah 53:5 and 1 Peter 1:18-19. If we love and trust God and are willing to submit to our Creator, Jesus says this, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me" (Matthew 16:24). Then God promises this, "I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir" (Isaiah 13:12). "O come, let us worship and bow down: let us kneel before the Lord our maker" (Psalms 95:6). May we all start off every day with this thought: "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it" (Psalms 118:24).

Cultures Of Natural History written by Nicholas Jardine and has been published by Cambridge University Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 1996-01-26 with History categories.

This copiously illustrated volume is the first systematic general work to do justice to the fruits of recent scholarship in the history of natural history. Public interest in this lively field has been stimulated by environmental concerns and through links with the histories of art, collecting and gardening. The centrality of the development of natural history for other branches of history - medical, colonial, gender, economic, ecological - is increasingly recognized. Twenty-four specially commissioned essays cover the period from the sixteenth century, when the first institutions of natural history were created, to its late nineteenth-century transformation by practitioners of the new biological sciences. An introduction discusses novel approaches that have made this a major focus for research in cultural history. The essays, which include suggestions for further reading, offer a coherent and accessible overview of a fascinating subject. An epilogue highlights the relevance of this wide-ranging survey for current debates on museum practice, the display of ecological diversity and concerns about the environment.

For Their Rock Is Not As Our Rock written by Daniel Strange and has been published by Inter-Varsity Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2015-05-08 with Religion categories.

The reality of our post-Christendom, post-colonial, post-Holocaust, post-9/11, multi-ethnic and multicultural context has meant that, more than ever, Christians are acutely aware of the questions posed not simply by the existence of other religions, but also by their apparent flourishing. If secularization is still alive and well, then, seemingly, so too is society's sacralization. Hence, the theology of religions is arguably the issue for mission in the twenty-first century. However, there has been little evangelical theology that offers a detailed, comprehensive and biblically faithful analysis that deals with not only the question of salvation but also questions of truth, the nature and history of human religiosity, and a host of practical issues pertaining to apologeti and contextualization. In this ambitious interdisciplinary study, which synthesizes close exegesis, biblical theology, systemati and insights from the social sciences, Daniel Strange examines the origins, development and idolatry of the 'religious Other', and explores how the gospel of Jesus Christ is its 'subversive fulfilment'. He concludes with a missiological postscript and some pastoral perspectives on the purpose of other religions in God's providence.

Loving And Studying Nature written by Malcolm Skilbeck and has been published by Springer Nature this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2022-01-05 with Education categories.

This volume investigates crucial ways in which nature has been apprehended, understood and valued in different cultures and over time. It is grounded in current global concerns about growing threats to the natural environment. Through a critical appraisal of specific examples, it ranges widely over historical and contemporary attitudes and behaviours. It presents a wide ranging analysis of selected ideas and attitudes in the evolution mainly of western civilisation, from the time of the cave artists to the present day. It argues for preservation and conservation of the natural resources and beauty of the earth in the face of religious supernatural arguments and the rise of consumer capitalism and consumerism.
