From Justin Bieber, to Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann, to the controversial documentary Jesus Camp (2006), the New Apostolic Reformation's influence can be seen everywhere in mainstream America. Beginning with an examination of the Latter Rain, Church Growth and Shepherding movements, this book explores how the new Reformation has become one of the most powerful movements in modern evangelical Christianity and a major influence on American political and cultural life. The author describes the New Apostolic Reformation's organization, how the movement spread and its national and international objectives.

This critique provides a framework for understanding and interpreting the widespread but little-known New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) movement. As the authors state in the preface: "We write this book with two major goals in mind. First, to give people an idea of the sheer size and reach of the NAR movement. And second, to systematize its key teachings and practices and evaluate them on the basis of Scripture and careful reasoning . . In our judgment, the NAR perspective crosses these boundaries [that is, certain broad parameters, revealed in Scripture and practiced in the historical orthodox church], and it does so in part because of flawed theology rooted in a flawed understanding of Scripture. We wish to warn readers about a possible confusion: Some critics have linked the NAR movement with mainstream Pentecostalism and charismatics. We do not do this. In fact, it is our contention that the NAR movement deviates from classical Pentecostal and charismatic teachings. This movement has emerged out of independent charismatic churches and, thus, has gained a foothold in many of those churches in varying degrees."

"The New Apostolic Reformation is not a cult" insist its leaders. Those who affiliate with it believe the Apostles' Creed and all the standard classic statements of Christian doctrine. However what the NAR does represent says one of its most respected leaders, C. Peter Wagner, Ph.D. is "the most radical change in the way of doing church since the Protestant Reformation." Drawing from his many years of experience as a full-time missionary on the mission fields of Asia, and thousands of hours of study, Bible teaching, leadership and discipleship training in villages and urban centers he has completed around the world, Frederick Osborn offers a brief, but objective evaluation of the movement so far. The New Apostolic Reformation (NAR) has changed traditional Protestantism regarding the quality of church life, polity, worship, theology, missional goals, and our view of the eschatological future. But have all these changes been good? As this movement spreads, questions are being raised by many Christians concerning this movement. Have all the changes wrought by the NAR opened the door for a new wave of false teachers and prophets to come into the ranks of the church? Are these false teachers and prophets like the ancient Gnostics and Judaizers of the early church that brought with them destructive heresies? Must they be confronted and done away with before they run all of Christianity off the rails of biblical truth and into a postmodern no-man's-land where practically anything and everything goes? A definitive answer is not offered here, but some biblical guidelines are offered for evaluating and assessing what this new prophetic-apostolic movement represents.

The New Apostolic Reformation Trump And Evangelical Politics written by Damon T. Berry and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-06-29 with Religion categories.

Whilst many assume that conservative evangelical support for Trump is motivated by his position on social issues such as abortion and LGBTQ rights, or a nostalgia for an imagined American golden age, this book shows that the reality is much more complex by looking at a more recent and understudied trend of Evangelicalism in America. Damon T. Berry examines how leaders within the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), a charismatically inclined Evangelical movement, claim their support for Trump came from alleged prophetic visions that compelled them to defend Trump's candidacy, and to continue to defend his presidency, re-election against demonically inspired, Marxist, “Deep State” enemies. In this conspiratorial cosmology, spiritual warfare through prayer and political activism is the duty of the faithful so that they might protect Trump as God's anointed leader and war against malevolent, unpatriotic forces that oppose him, the nation, and God himself. Working from primary source materials produced by leading figures among the NAR, Berry argues that this conspiratorial discourse is central to NAR support for Trump's candidacy, presidency, and re-election effort, and that this discourse has come to shape some of the most important debates among American religious conservatives in the 21st century.

God is about to release into the earth a powerful increase of the apostolic and prophetic anointings, and restore the apostolic nature of the church itself! Every Christian needs to prayerfully consider the message of this book, and hear what the Spirit is saying to the church. Things are changing, and God is about to act again in history. The Apostolic Revelation unveils a series of dynamic concepts that are crucial to the life of the church and the restoration of its apostolic power. It establishes benchmarks for the apostolic ministry, and gives definition and substance to the new apostolic wineskin of the church. Here is a revelation of apostolic methods, and God's heart for the church and its leadership. In this study, today's apostolic message is harmonised with and grounded in the apostolic revelation of Christ given to Paul, the apostle to the Gentiles. This work is the result of 13 years of inquiry, searching the mind of the Spirit regarding the place of apostles today, and seeking to understand what it means for the church to be the mature apostolic church prepared for the coming of Christ. Apostolic grace is for every believer. This book seeks to equip you to receive a greater grace, and prepare you for the astounding days ahead. C. Peter Wagner said "After reading The Apostolic Revelation, I want to congratulate you for it. It is a brilliant book. I would not hesitate to classify it as the premier biblical theology of the apostolic movement. This book ranks up there with the very best of the exploding literature on the subject."
