A riveting debut thriller from one of New York’s most eminent surgeons, Night Harvest follows the bizarre disappearance of patients from a Manhattan hospital into the murky underground of the city. Fourth-year medical student Demetri Makropolis has been assigned to cover orthopedics at Eastside Medical Center, one of New York City’s finest hospitals. Just as his surgery team begins to operate on New York’s leading drama critic, F. J. Pervis III, the patient suddenly goes into cardiac arrest. The team fails to resuscitate him, so the corpse is moved to the hospital’s morgue. But before the autopsy is even performed, the body vanishes from the morgue and mysteriously reappears a day later—with the brain surgically removed. Even more disturbing is the medical examiner’s discovery: Pervis was still alive when the ghostly craniotomy was performed. With their reputation at stake, the hospital assigns NYPD’s Detective Patrick McManus to the case; meanwhile, Demetri learns of an eerily similar century-old unsolved mystery that leads him to an enigmatic figure lurking in the bowels of the medical center. With Pervis as his experiment, the perpetrator initiates a chain reaction of chaos and murder in Manhattan. A gripping tale filled with ambition, romance, jealousies, and black humor, Night Harvest is a thrilling ride that culminates in the long-abandoned elaborate network of subterranean rooms and corridors that still lie beneath present-day Manhattan.

READER'S ADVISORY: This novel contains scenes that sane readers will find disturbing, including incredibly graphic descriptions of horrific violence and unimaginably depraved sexual acts. Obviously, this is a work exclusively intended for mature audiences. The Presidential Task Force on Occult Criminal Conspiracies and Corruption, headed by Special Agent in Charge John Languedoc Doe, has fought a bloody secret war against the MKULTRA conspiracy that has infiltrated America's Deep State power structure at every level. Like a malignant cancer this insidious secret society of demon worshipping cannibal serial killer pedophiles has spread through the United States, corrupting municipal, State, and Federal governments, police forces, the military, and the judicial system. Unable to confront this diabolical master plot using a thoroughly debased judicial system, the Task Force has tracked down these mind controlling torture murdering human flesh devouring child raping monsters using extralegal means and then ruthlessly executed them, one by one. Members of the Task Force -- known to the evildoers they stalk as 'regulators'- have fallen during this grisly secret war, as well. But now the conspiracy has been reduced to the members of the so called "congregation", a Satanic cult based in a small town named Redhaven, which was founded by the demon worshipping Halloway family centuries ago and which the congregation still secretly owns and operates. Every year in Redhaven, when Harvest Night rolls around, the innocent newcomers who have just moved to town are captured, tortured, raped, sacrificed, and then slaughtered and eaten by the members of 'the congregation' -- and then, the empty houses are scrubbed clean and put back on the market, for more innocent 'sheep' to move into over the course of the next year. But this year, John Languedoc Doe and the last half dozen surviving members of the The Presidential Task Force on Occult Criminal Conspiracies and Corruption - the 'regulators' - have come to Redhaven to put a final, grisly end to the horrible cult of demon worshipping cannibal pedophiles that has drenched America in darkness and blood for far too long. Grim veterans of an ongoing campaign against the ultimate evil that the average citizen knows, and wants to know, nothing about, these dedicated warriors will, with the help of a few patriotic citizen soldiers who have experienced for themselves the evils of 'the congregation', wage a final battle against the onslaught of rapacious, predatory darkness in the gore splattered streets of what seems to the naked eye to be a perfect little town. HARVEST NIGHT is far more than simply a grisly, gruesome novel of horror, terror, and darkness. It is the eternal tale of Good versus Evil, played out against a contemporary, 21st Century, urban American setting, where the facade of effete civility has been torn away to reveal the pulsing, snarling, bleeding visage of epic, demonic evil that lies seething and scheming beneath. An instant classic of its kind, that displays the true fury of the average, decent citizen finally rising up against the oppressive shackles of its hellish oppressors.

Night Of The Harvest Moon: Vampyre is a gothic horror narrative, one that delves deeply into the souls of its characters. The tale begins in the late 1800's in Central Europe, primarily Moldavia and Transylvania and expands to London and Sweden. Harvest Moon is a story of immense reprisals, hatred, and passion. Sorcery, demonology, and religion are essential elements that interweave within the physical and supernatural planes of existence of all those involved. The Vampyre learns of ancient knowledge that existed long before Egyptian civilization, the Ta Merians. The nosferatu also learns of other dimensions and secrets of man and god, another race of beings before the existence of humankind. With this knowledge the Vampyre's revenge is set in place with hatred that far surpasses that of, She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed and Kremhild of the Die Nibelungen, and the avenger of Siegfried. The Command Demon, Karcist and Rulers of the North and South Airts, Azazel and Pazuzu with the aid of the Bloodstone Ematille, are summoned by the antagonist Dijon. They are to do his bidding in the Circle Of Magic for one sole purpose: the sacrifice of human life in order to gain his immortal existence.

'I would compare her to writers like Helen Dunmore, Elizabeth Strout, Jon McGregor' BBC Radio 4 'Harding achieves a weighty sense of silence and things not said in this unsettling book about the aftershocks of trauma and the burdens of bearing witness' Sunday Times 'A masterly achievement, illuminating with wisdom and compassion the darkest corners of the human heart' Guardian So fresh and free she looked, in the yellow dress. Sunlight to blaze away the shadows. A farm in Norfolk in the 1970s. A Japanese girl comes to visit her English lover in the house where he was born. She arrives on a day of perfect summer, stands with his mother in a garden filled with roses, watches as his brother walks fields of ripening wheat. But between the two brothers lies the shadow of their father's violent death almost twenty years before, the unresolved narrative of their childhood – a story that has gone untold, a story that began in the last war. In the presence of the girl, the old trauma begins to surface as the work of the harvest begins. In a compelling addition to Harding's cycle of acclaimed novels on themes of witness, memory and silence, on what goes unsaid long after wars are over, Harvest tells how a family reaps the consequences of its past. 'Taut and unsettling ... A fine meditation on war's long reach' Mail on Sunday

Neil Young S Harvest written by Sam Inglis and has been published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2003-09-17 with Social Science categories.

Neil Young's Harvest is one of those strange albums that has achieved lasting success without ever winning the full approval of rock critics or hardcore fans. Even Young himself has been equivocal, describing it in one breath as his "finest" album, dismissing it in the next as an MOR aberration. Here, Sam Inglis explores the circumstances of the album's creation and asks who got it right: the critics, or the millions who have bought Harvest in the 30 years since its release? Excerpt The White Falcon's split pickup might have been just a gimmick from the early days of stereo, but the way Neil Young uses it on 'Alabama' is remarkable. His muted picking brings stabbing notes first from one speaker, then the other, as though we were hearing not one but two guitarists, playing with an unnatural empathy. The electric guitar has seldom sounded so menacing, and Young's growling rhythm and piercing lead notes are tracked perfectly by Kenny Buttrey's bare-bones drumming. The build to the chorus is beautifully judged, and when Young and his celebrity backing singers let rip, there's an almost physical sense of release.
