Simulating Nonlinear Circuits With Python Power Electronics written by Shivkumar V. Iyer and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2018-01-25 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book provides readers with an in-depth discussion of circuit simulation, combining basic electrical engineering circuit theory with Python programming. It fills an information gap by describing the development of Python Power Electronics, an open-source software for simulating circuits, and demonstrating its use in a sample circuit. Unlike typical books on circuit theory that describe how circuits can be solved mathematically, followed by examples of simulating circuits using specific, commercial software, this book has a different approach and focus. The author begins by describing every aspect of the open-source software, in the context of non-linear power electronic circuits, as a foundation for aspiring or practicing engineers to embark on further development of open source software for different purposes. By demonstrating explicitly the operation of the software through algorithms, this book brings together the fields of electrical engineering and software technology.

Linear And Nonlinear Circuits Basic Advanced Concepts written by Mauro Parodi and has been published by Springer this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2017-07-03 with Technology & Engineering categories.
This book provides readers with the necessary background information and advanced concepts in the field of circuits, at the crossroads between physics, mathematics and system theory. It covers various engineering subfields, such as electrical devices and circuits, and their electronic counterparts. Based on the idea that a modern university course should provide students with conceptual tools to understand the behavior of both linear and nonlinear circuits, to approach current problems posed by new, cutting-edge devices and to address future developments and challenges, the book places equal emphasis on linear and nonlinear, two‐terminal and multi‐terminal, as well as active and passive circuit components. The theory is developed systematically, starting with the simplest circuits (linear, time-invariant and resistive) and providing food for thought on nonlinear circuits, potential functions, linear algebra and geometrical interpretations of selected results. Contents are organized into a set of first‐level and a set of advanced‐level topics. The book is rich in examples and includes numerous solved problems. Further topics, such as signal processing and modeling of non-electric physical phenomena (e.g., hysteresis or biological oscillators) will be discussed in volume 2.

A DEFINITIVE TEXT ON DEVELOPING CIRCUIT SIMULATORS Circuit Simulation gives a clear description of the numerical techniques and algorithms that are part of modern circuit simulators, with a focus on the most commonly used simulation modes: DC analysis and transient analysis. Tested in a graduate course on circuit simulation at the University of Toronto, this unique text provides the reader with sufficient detail and mathematical rigor to write his/her own basic circuit simulator. There is detailed coverage throughout of the mathematical and numerical techniques that are the basis for the various simulation topics, which facilitates a complete understanding of practical simulation techniques. In addition, Circuit Simulation: Explores a number of modern techniques from numerical analysis that are not synthesized anywhere else Covers network equation formulation in detail, with an emphasis on modified nodal analysis Gives a comprehensive treatment of the most relevant aspects of linear and nonlinear system solution techniques States all theorems without proof in order to maintain the focus on the end-goal of providing coverage of practical simulation methods Provides ample references for further study Enables newcomers to circuit simulation to understand the material in a concrete and holistic manner With problem sets and computer projects at the end of every chapter, Circuit Simulation is ideally suited for a graduate course on this topic. It is also a practical reference for design engineers and computer-aided design practitioners, as well as researchers and developers in both industry and academia.

New Topics in Simulation and Modeling of RF Circuits addresses two main topics: simulation of RF circuits and new models of nonlinear power BAW resonators and filters.Since RF circuits have several unique features, and all analysis methods are based on the circuit essential properties, the book begins by describing the properties of RF circuits, characterization of circuits with customary and uncustomary behavior and some theorems of solutions existence and uniqueness for dynamic nonlinear circuits. Thereafter, the main time domain and frequency domain analysis methods for RF circuits are presented. The advantages and disadvantages of each method have been highlighted, and an algorithm for the time step choice in transient analysis based on energy balance errors is also presented. Lastly, the final part contains some nonlinear circuit models of power BAW resonators. The behavioral models for the time domain analysis are simple circuits containing weakly nonlinear elements. The behavioral models for frequency domain analysis are based on the measured values of the frequency dependent S parameters for a set of incident powers. S parameters corresponding to certain intermodulation products of practical interest are also considered. The physical models contain artificial transmission lines with nonlinear circuit elements corresponding to mechanical and electrical nonlinearities.

Circuit simulation has become an essential tool in circuit design and without it's aid, analogue and mixed-signal IC design would be impossible. However the applicability and limitations of circuit simulators have not been generally well understood and this book now provides a clear and easy to follow explanation of their function. The material covered includes the algorithms used in circuit simulation and the numerical techniques needed for linear and non-linear DC analysis, transient analysis and AC analysis. The book goes on to explain the numeric methods to include sensitivity and tolerance analysis and optimisation of component values for circuit design. The final part deals with logic simulation and mixed-signal simulation algorithms. There are comprehensive and detailed descriptions of the numerical methods and the material is presented in a way that provides for the needs of both experienced engineers who wish to extend their knowledge of current tools and techniques, and of advanced students and researchers who wish to develop new simulators.

Full of tips and insights from seasoned industry veterans, Microwave Circuit Design offers practical, proven advice on improving the design quality of microwave passive and active circuits-while cutting costs and time. Covering all levels of microwave circuit design from the elementary to the very advanced, the book systematically presents computer-aided methods for linear and nonlinear designs used in the design and manufacture of microwave amplifiers, oscillators, and mixers. Using the newest CAD tools, the book shows how to design transistor and diode circuits, and also details CAD's usefulness in microwave integrated circuit (MIC) and monolithic microwave integrated circuit (MMIC) technology. Applications of nonlinear SPICE programs, now available for microwave CAD, are described. State-of-the-art coverage includes microwave transistors (HEMTs, MODFETs, MESFETs, HBTs, and more), high-power amplifier design, oscillator design including feedback topologies, phase noise and examples, and more. The techniques presented are illustrated with several MMIC designs, including a wideband amplifier, a low-noise amplifier, and an MMIC mixer. This unique, one-stop handbook also features a major case study of an actual anticollision radar transceiver, which is compared in detail against CAD predictions; examples of actual circuit designs with photographs of completed circuits; and tables of design formulae.
