Trata da construcao de um instrumental teorico-metodologico para a Pesquisa Social (Qualitativa) na area da Saude. O trabalho tenta nao ser um caminho estreito. Compreende, valoriza e critica as varias teorias para analise do social, especificamente do processo Saude-Doenca. Alem disso, mantendo as premissas da Metodologia Dialetica, incorpora-se as contribuicoes das outras correntes na viabilizacao da pratica da pesquisa.
