Sob o título: O Deus de ferro e a excomunhão da América Latina: mineração transnacional, lutas e resistências sociais na Amazônia, o livro traz um panorama da mineração transnacional na Amazônia paraense e mostra as particularidades socioambientais e os efeitos da exploração mineral na região, especificamente, nos municípios de Canaã dos Carajás e Barcarena. Dessa forma, o texto possui três dimensões de construção analítica: a teórica, a empírica e a poética; o empírico como ponto de partida, o teórico como recurso de apreensão e análise e o poético como uma forma de manifestação compreensiva e reflexiva do mundo social, neste caso, do mundo produzido pela megamineração na Amazônia.
