No contexto em que a sensação de urgência é cada vez mais presente, a autora analisa, sob nuances pragmáticas e dogmáticas, as relevantes implicações da urgência enquanto fenômeno no âmbito da Tutela provisória do Código de Processo Civil. A obra, resultante de dissertação de mestrado com mesmo título, desenvolve-se em torno da delimitação da urgência, bem como da investigação do "fato urgente" que justifica o emprego de técnica diferenciada. Sem se afastar do cenário da pós-modernidade e suas relações líquidas e instantâneas que favorecem o surgimento de "novas urgências", o tema é abordado a partir do diálogo com diversas áreas do conhecimento. Uma vez estabelecida a compreensão da urgência enquanto fenômeno extra-autos e sem conceito jurídico definido, a obra demonstra a necessidade de que os operadores do direito identifiquem parâmetros para sua verificação no caso concreto. Assim, com base no tratamento legislativo dispensado à urgência, busca-se extrair notas distintivas e critérios elásticos que viabilizam sua tutela do bojo do processo, sobretudo considerando as consequências procedimentais que dela decorrem. Nesse contexto, a obra pretende trazer ao leitor reflexões que o permitam estabelecer, de forma descritiva (linguagem própria dos tipos), pontos-chave para a identificação e tutela da urgência no caso concreto.

O estudo da minha dissertação de Mestrado entre 2015 e 2017 passou pelo procedimento dos precedentes judiciais vinculantes, numa proposta de que todos detêm, de modo geral, uma mesma linha procedimental. Mediante isto, estudei vários institutos relacionados aos precedentes judiciais e que foram positivados pelo CPC/2015, como: recursos excepcionais repetitivos, repercussão geral, incidente de arguição de inconstitucional, incidente de assunção de competência e incidente de resolução de demandas repetitivas. Com a entrada para o Doutorado em Direito no Programa da UNICAP – Universidade Católica de Pernambuco, tive a possibilidade e autorização de realizar intercâmbios com outras Universidades, cursando a matéria do Prof. Dr. Fredie Didier Jr. na UFBA e do Prof. Dr. Antonio do Passo Cabral na UERJ.

In 1949 the International Court of Justice (ICJ) handed down its first judgment in the Corfu Channel Case. In diffusing an early Cold War dispute, the Court articulated a set of legal principles which continue to shape our appreciation of the international legal order. Many of the issues dealt with by the Court in 1949 remain central questions of international law, including due diligence, forcible intervention and self-help, maritime operations, navigation in international straits and the concept of elementary considerations of humanity.
