Este livro dá prossecução ao programa que em 2005 assinalou os trinta anos da morte de Ruben A., alcançando no dizer autorizado de João Gouveia Monteiro grande qualidade científica e estética em realizações que associaram originalidade e espírito didático. Tal como variadas vertentes desse programa, também esta coletânea de estudos responde, em diferentes registos, ao intuito de melhor discernir como a personalidade e a obra de Ruben Andresen Leitão, escritor e historiador, justificam o epitáfio lírico de Sophia. “Trazias contigo sempre alvoroço e início...”. Um caso assim, tão raro no contexto sócio-cultural português, começa a ganhar densidade e a manifestar-se no escolar de Coimbra e senhor na Babaou – Maison Surrealiste, que João de Almeida Garrett com lúcida memória afetiva aqui evoca – o jovem Ruben A., com seu humor dândi, sua conversa animada e plural, seu empenho inteligente de preceptor discreto, seu gesto de “viver com classe”.
