O livro Formação do professor de piano: ensino de piano em grupo para iniciantes representa uma síntese do conhecimento da autora nos campos da Pedagogia do Piano e da Educação Musical, integrando dois espaços significativos de seu percurso profissional: (1) a ministração de aulas de piano em grupo para crianças nos anos de 1980 e 1990, na Fundação de Educação Artística e no Núcleo Villa-Lobos de Educação Musical em Belo Horizonte; (2) a experiência pedagógica na formação de professores de piano em disciplinas na graduação da Escola de Música da UFMG.
