Sobre esta obra, achei a narração muito bem sistematizada e ordenada sequencialmente, de maneira perfeitamente consequente. Gostei da qualidade literária no que respeita à parte descritiva, com as situações e os ambientes bem observados e caracterizados. No que se refere à parte psicológica, gostei da descrição e avaliação dos comportamentos das personagens, da expressão dos seus pensamentos – como por exemplo, na fala de Rodrigo numa interpretação muito arguta do romance do escritor José Saramago – “Ensaio sobre a Cegueira” - e das oportunas considerações do (autor) a propósito de certas situações ou circunstâncias ocorridas ao longo da “história.” De certa maneira - em meu entender - esta obra contém no fundo, algo autobiográfico numa abordagem de forma ficcionada, engenhosamente repartida por duas personagens – O Rodrigo, ao longo de toda a narrativa e, de maneira mais verdadeira, o Fernando Gonçalves, na parte final. No que respeita aos termos linguísticos em que o texto está escrito, gostei duma certa riqueza e mesmo eloquência verbal, por vezes de forma inspirada, com certo toque de cariz poético. Parabéns ao Autor! Rui Alegrim Engº Eletrotécnico – Lisboa A Sala do Tempo Parado é uma obra literária cujo tema principal está relacionado com os doentes do foro oncológico. Francisca, Rodrigo e Raul são os protagonistas principais que lhe dão vida e que se divide em três fases distintas – A vida privada de cada um deles antes de lhes ter sido detetado um carcinoma, as suas visitas à sala de espera do hospital de oncologia (Sala do Tempo Parado) onde vão aguardando a sua vez para o tratamento de radioterapia e, os seus percursos de vida posteriores aos tratamentos, os quais, face à grande amizade que, entretanto, alguns, vão estabelecendo entre eles, manter-se-ão interligados nos episódios que se seguem, aliás repletos de acontecimentos. Trata-se de um romance bem estruturado que, quer pelo tema versado quer pela mensagem de esperança no seu conteúdo, prende o leitor do princípio ao fim. In The Aesthetic Clinic, Fernanda Negrete brings together contemporary women writers and artists well known for their formal experimentation—Louise Bourgeois, Sophie Calle, Lygia Clark, Marguerite Duras, Roni Horn, and Clarice Lispector—to argue that the aesthetic experiences afforded by their work are underwritten by a tenacious and uniquely feminine ethics of desire. To elaborate this ethics, Negrete looks to notions of sublimation and feminine sexuality developed by Freud, Baudelaire, Mallarmé, and Nietzsche, and their reinvention with and after Jacques Lacan, including in the schizoanalysis of Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari. But she also highlights how psychoanalytic theory draws on writing and other creative practices to conceive of unconscious processes and the transformation sought through analysis. Thus, the "aesthetic clinic" of the book's title (a term Negrete adopts from Deleuze) is not an applied psychoanalysis or schizoanalysis. Rather, The Aesthetic Clinic privileges the call and constraints issued by each woman's individual work. Engaging an artwork here is less about retrieving a hidden meaning through interpretation than about receiving a precise transmission of sensation, a jouissance irreducible to meaning. Not only do art and literature serve an urgent clinical function in Negrete's reading but sublimation itself requires an embrace of femininity.
