Y me responde un silencio y colijo, -colijo, colijes, colijamos y colijen-, que efectivamente hay más allá, por qué, -ay este porqué!- si no hubiera más allá no habría silencio. Luego, colijo, colijamos, el silencio es el más allá por el que me pregunto. José Antonio Muñoz Rojas nace en Antequera (Málaga) en 1909. Su primer libro, Versos de retorno, es de 1929. Lector en la Universidad de Cambridge durante algún tiempo y gran conocedor de la lírica inglesa, tradujo al castellano obras de John Donne, Richard Crashaw, William Wordsworth, Gerald Manley Hopkins, Francis Thompson y Thomas Stearns Eliot. Dentro de su obra poética cabe destacar Objetos perdidos (Premio Nacional de Poesía 1997) y Las cosas del campo. En 2002 fue distinguido con el XI Premio Reina Sofía de Poesía Iberoamericana por el conjunto de su obra.
