We reconstruct the rare decays B+ → K+ ?+?−, B° → K*(892)° ?+?−, and B{sub s}° → ?(1020)?+?− in a data sample corresponding to 4.4 fb−1 collected in p{bar p} collisions at √s = 1.96 TeV by the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron Collider. Using 120 ± 16 B+ → K+ ?+?− and 101 ± 12 B° → K*° ?+?− decays we report the branching ratios. In addition, we report the measurement of the differential branching ratio and the muon forward-backward asymmetry in the B+ and B° decay modes, and the K*° longitudinal polarization in the B° decay mode with respect to the squared dimuon mass. These are consistent with the theoretical prediction from the standard model, and most recent determinations from other experiments and of comparable accuracy. We also report the first observation of the B{sub s}° → ??+?− decay and measure its branching ratio ?(B{sub s}° → ??+?−) = [1.44 ± 0.33 ± 0.46] x 10−6 using 27 ± 6 signal events. This is currently the most rare B{sub s}° decay observed.

We have examined the decay K[sub L][sup 0][yields][pi][sup 0][mu][sup+][mu][sup -] in which the branching ratio, the muon energy asymmetry and the muon decay asymmetry could be measured. In particular, we find that within the Standard Model the longitudinal polarization (PL) of the muon is proportional to the direct CP violating amplitude. On the other hand the energy asymmetry and the out-of-plane polarization (P[sub N]) depend on both indirect and direct CP violating amplitudes. Although the branching ratio is small and difficult to measure because of background, the asymmetries could be large[Omicron](1) in the Standard Model. A combined analysis of the energy asymmetry, P[sub L] and P[sub N] could be used to separate indirect, CPV, direct CPV, and CP conserving contributions to the decay.
