The book of poems sometimes came to Carol-la between sleep and wakefulness, to create order out of the chaos of life. Many are of love, loss, mourning, melancholy and the pain of grief and redemption. As the grief process ebbs and flows, it is leavened with growth, hope and joy and sustained by the spirituality of Taos Mountain and Tibet. Carol-la began to reconnect with the world and find meaning. It speaks of the Tibetan Sky Burial ritual and of the veil between living and dying. This exquisite map of a book offers countless geographies from the powerful landscape of Taos to the perilous lands of Tibet. Ultimately, her writing evokes the lustrous horizon of understanding the world within, the world without. Andrea L. Watson Collecting Life: Poets on Objects Known and Imagined Carol-la's poetry is remarkable, open and frank. She writes about her life and family with an uncommon awareness and sensitivity that are sure to touch you deeply. Charles Trumbull Editor- Modern Haiku Journal From the depths of her unconscious, the author further expands and illuminates her own conscious, as well as that of sensitive readers. Since Carol-la’s first book, Ode to Peanut M&M’s, Carol-la continues to meander through the ruins of her memories and it is a bittersweet surrender. At times, Tibet is fresh and untouched by forgetfulness. A recent trip to Ireland was beckoned by a leprechaun, who met Carol-la on a Sky Burial site in Tibet, before she met Tsedor-la. Her poetry writing is her means to pursue the unknown and make it visible. She speaks of her path between the veil of living and dying and transcending grief. Her book is a legacy of who she is today.

This book is somewhat unique. I am not the author although it was written through me . He is the author not me. Why I ended up being the one to be used by Him remains a complete baffling mystery. I am simply His humble steward in this process. Everyone living in America recognizes Home Depot. They are a staple. It is a poem containing 2,500 quatrains that contain life as a part time cashier in a small Home Depot store. It is not always easy reading but it has appeal and value for anyone willing to read it. What are the takeaways? For me the greatest takeaway is humility. The people portrayed in thsi writing are far superior to me. I am not worthy to be the proverbial gum on their shoe. Their trust and friendship provided me is more valuable than gold from Ophir. They live very difficult lives in an extraordinary manner. They never had a level playing filed. they must climb Mt Everest each day. There is humor, pathos and at times Upton Sinclair type muckraking all mixed into the writing. The work shows the good and the bad of life, work and in some ways America today.

A War Tour Of Viet Nam written by Erin R. McCoy and has been published by McFarland this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2021-12-21 with History categories.

The Viet Nam War ended nearly half a century ago. This book--part history, part travelogue--reveals the war's legacy, still very much alive, in the places where it was fought and in the memories and memorials of those who survived it. The chronological story is told through the exploration of culture, history, popular music, and the countries that were major players: North and South Viet Nam, Laos, Cambodia, Australia and the United States. The author traverses significant sites like Dien Bien Phu--where French colonialism ended and U.S. intervention began--the DMZ, Hamburger Hill, the Rock Pile, the Cu Chi Tunnels, and Australia's most famous battlefield, Long Tan. Residual hazards remain in the form of unexploded ordnance (UXO) in such places as Siem Reap and Luang Prabang, as well as in Quang Tri Province, where nonprofit groups like Project RENEW work to manage removal and provide victim assistance.

“This surprising, compassionate story brings to life the secret, guilty fantasy of many overworked moms.” —People “In an enthralling novel reminiscent of Anne Tyler’s Ladder of Years, a woman who recently suffered a heart attack runs away to recover her equilibrium.” —O, The Oprah Magazine Every woman who has ever fantasized about driving past her exit on the highway instead of going home to make dinner, and every woman who has ever dreamed of boarding a train to a place where no one needs constant attention--meet Maribeth Klein. A harried working mother who’s so busy taking care of her husband and twins, she doesn’t even realize she’s had a heart attack. Surprised to discover that her recuperation seems to be an imposition on those who rely on her, Maribeth does the unthinkable: she packs a bag and leaves. But, as is often the case, once we get where we’re going we see our lives from a different perspective. Far from the demands of family and career and with the help of liberating new friendships, Maribeth is able to own up to secrets she has been keeping from herself and those she loves. With bighearted characters--husbands, wives, friends, and lovers--who stumble and trip, grow and forgive, Leave Me is about facing the fears we’re all running from. Gayle Forman is a dazzling observer of human nature. She has written an irresistible novel that confronts the ambivalence of modern motherhood head on and asks, what happens when a grown woman runs away from home?
