Interpolation Theory And Applications written by Michael Cwikel and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2007 with Mathematics categories.

This volume contains the Proceedings of the Conference on Interpolation Theory and Applications in honor of Professor Michael Cwikel (Miami, FL, 2006). The central topic of this book is interpolation theory in its broadest sense, with special attention to its applications to analysis. The articles include applications to classical analysis, harmonic analysis, partial differential equations, function spaces, image processing, geometry of Banach spaces, and more. This volume emphasizes remarkable connections between several branches of pure and applied analysis. Graduate students and researchers in analysis will find it very useful.

This is the second part of a two volume anthology comprising a selection of 49 articles that illustrate the depth, breadth and scope of Nigel Kalton’s research. Each article is accompanied by comments from an expert on the respective topic, which serves to situate the article in its proper context, to successfully link past, present and hopefully future developments of the theory and to help readers grasp the extent of Kalton’s accomplishments. Kalton’s work represents a bridge to the mathematics of tomorrow, and this book will help readers to cross it. Nigel Kalton (1946-2010) was an extraordinary mathematician who made major contributions to an amazingly diverse range of fields over the course of his career.

Function theory and Sobolev inequalities have been the target of investigatio for decades. Sharp constants in these inequalities constitute a critical tool in geometric analysis. The $AB$ program is concerned with sharp Sobolev inequalities on compact Riemannian manifolds. Important and significant progress has been made during recent years. We summarize the present state ad describe new results.

Triangulations Of Oriented Matroids written by Francisco Santos and has been published by American Mathematical Soc. this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2002 with Matroids categories.

We consider the concept of triangulation of an oriented matroid. We provide a definition which generalizes the previous ones by Billera-Munson and by Anderson and which specializes to the usual notion of triangulation (or simplicial fan) in the realizable case. Then we study the relation existing between triangulations of an oriented matroid $\mathcal{M}$ and extensions of its dual $\mathcal{M}^*$, via the so-called lifting triangulations. We show that this duality behaves particularly well in the class of Lawrence matroid polytopes. In particular, that the extension space conjecture for realizable oriented matroids is equivalent to the restriction to Lawrence polytopes of the Generalized Baues problem for subdivisions of polytopes. We finish by showing examples and a characterization of lifting triangulations.
