I’d really been looking forward to a night on the town, showing the sexy Justice why Fort Walton, Indiana was known as the Paris of the Midwest. Okay, not really, but he doesn’t know that. Wink, wink. Unfortunately, instead of my sexy new over-the-knee boots, I’m wearing clunky work boots, and slogging through mud in search of patient zero for a new contagion. Good times. My name is Raelene Kitt. My friends call me Rae. Not Kit Kat or Kitten, despite what my ex-husband told the local newspaper. Bless his heart. I’m a traveler. Not the suitcase-bearing, sunscreen-wearing, snotty hotel clerk glaring kind of traveler. I travel through dimensions. And occasionally I take on problems at home. Such as when the King of the Ghouls decided to dig himself a kingdom in our local ballpark a few weeks ago. Or like now, when a weird contagion has overcome the city. And somebody’s decided I’m the right person to fix it. Awesome.

Cal Kestis has built a new life for himself with the crew of the Stinger Mantis. Together, Cal’s crew has brought down bounty hunters, defeated Inquisitors, and even evaded Darth Vader himself. More important, Merrin, Cere, Greez, and faithful droid BD-1 are the closest thing Cal has had to a family since the fall of the Jedi Order. Even as the galaxy’s future grows more uncertain by the day, with each blow struck against the Empire the Mantis crew grows more daring. On what should be a routine mission, they meet a stormtrooper determined to chart her own course with the help of Cal and the crew. In exchange for help starting a new life, the Imperial deserter brings word of a powerful, potentially invaluable tool for their fight against the Empire. And even better, she can help them get to it. The only catch—pursuing it will bring them into the path of one of the Empire’s most dangerous servants, the Inquisitor known as the Fifth Brother. Can the Imperial deserter truly be trusted? And while Cal and his friends have survived run-ins with the Inquisitors before, how many times can they evade the Empire before their luck runs out?

Being Extreme written by Bill Gutman and has been published by Open Road Media this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2014-04-01 with Sports & Recreation categories.

As fast-paced as a freefall from a roaring airplane, as thrilling as a towering jump off a ski slope, Being Extreme is a fascinating examination of the adrenaline rush of extreme sports. Here is a world where living life on the edge is the only option, where you are only as good as your last jump . . . and where one false move can take you out of the game permanently. From mountain climbing and freestyle motocross to skydiving and snowboarding and beyond, in the past decade, the world of extreme sports has exploded onto the scene, with daredevils attempting acts of athleticism that leave spectators awed . . . and fearful. Being Extreme explores the motivations and societal impulses behind these high-risk lifestyles through interviews with professional athletes and recreational enthusiasts, as well as with psychiatrists who seek to understand the motivation behind these “Big T” personalities. Authors Gutman and Frederick also explore what heart-stopping sports are around the next curve, because in a world where the “rush” is everything, everyone is always upping their game.

I believe in causal connection. I am convinced that I was a S.O.B. in my previous life and had hurt lots of women. This life is to repay some of the debts. Thus the reason of the book. It is to help to free the hundreds of millions of women who are still under the control of men. For millennia, women have been men's prisoners and slaves. Slavery of women is still going on in many countries. The book traces the slavery to its very beginning and identifies the one-tool men have been using to imprison them. It was a recent event measured in evolutionary scale. Knowing the when and the how will enable the ultimate liberation of all women. Though a stronger sex, there is one universal womanly "weakness". It is an innate sense of insecurity. This "weakness", however, was a must for the survival of our species during the past millions of dark years. Women today have no more need to feel insecure. But it is still there, playing harmful psychological game to women. To know this insecurity is to allow women to deal with it effectively. The book also points out the many potential traps and downfalls to women. The most damaging trap for women is religion. All religions treat women as second-class citizens. The other is to have children. They are career killers. Getting married is also a bad idea. 50% of the marriages in North America end up in divorce and most are initiated by women. Statistics don't lie. W.O.M.A.N. is an acronym for world of man ain't nice. Our world is a mess--wholesale environmental deterioration, wars, over-population and poverty are rampant. They are mostly man-made, by the male gender, that is. Our only hope is woman. The misery won't end as long as men are allowed to run our world. Women are our saviors. But women can't save the world without a tool. The tool is moral selfishness, which is the other central message of the book. Thank you.
