[Italiano]:The volume contains the proceedings of the conference on the subject of relational ontology, which involved a group of scholars of classical German philosophy with the aim of explaining the reasons, drawing inspiration and categories from the ideal and conceptual constellation of that age of culture. The idea from which they make the contributions is that for relational ontology we can understand a theory on the structure of reality (onto-logic), attentive to the development of the explanatory and normative potential of the category of reciprocity. Il volume raccoglie gli atti del convegno sul tema dell'ontologia relazionale che ha coinvolto un gruppo di studiosi della filosofia classica tedesca con l'intento di enuclearne i motivi, traendo spunti e categorie dalla costellazione ideale e concettuale di quella età di cultura. L'idea da cui muovono i contributi è che per ontologia relazionale si possa intendere una teoria sulla struttura della realtà (onto-logia), attenta allo svolgimento del potenziale esplicativo e normativo della categoria della reciprocità. I contributi definiscono così un percorso che, a partire da Kant e dalla questione di una unità e duplicità dell'io, e passando per la considerazione della ontologia fichtiana della relazione e dell'idea di una costituzione dell'identità rispondente all'appello dell'altro (su questo tema viene anche inscenato un dialogo Ricoeur/Fichte), tocca la nozione di diritto naturale di Schelling, per arrivare infine alla costruzione hegeliana di un'ontologia e logica della relazione rinvenibile nella stessa nozione di società civile, così come alla lettura in chiave 'materialistica' dell'idealismo trascendentale kantiano in rapporto alla nozione di azione reciproca.

Il concetto di relazione è oggi un protagonista dei dibattiti metafisici, ma solo da poco la filosofia ha iniziato a prenderlo sul serio. Il saggio rappresenta la prima indagine estesa sul macro-evento filosofico che ha portato la relazione al centro dell’attenzione: il dibattito sulle relazioni interne ed esterne. Dopo averne rintracciata l’origine nell’intricato scontro dei primi anni del Novecento tra Francis Herbert Bradley e Bertrand Russell, esso segue gli sviluppi del dibattito in Ludwig Wittgenstein e Alfred North Whitehead, in Charles Sanders Peirce e William James, ne studia le riprese da parte di Jean Wahl e Gilles Deleuze, esplorandone infine le propaggini contemporanee in Bruno Latour e tra gli esponenti del realismo speculativo. Chiedersi se le relazioni siano interne o esterne significa porsi due domande distinte: le relazioni sono ontologicamente fondamentali o sono riducibili ai propri termini? Questi hanno un’esistenza e un’identità indipendente dalle relazioni o sono da queste definiti nella loro essenza più intima? All’intersezione di questi due interrogativi emergerà una concezione del mondo che vede affermato fino in fondo il ruolo ontologico delle relazioni quali agenti attivi del divenire e della sua complessità.

Leggere Fichte è uno dei frutti del lavoro di comune e libera discussione intorno ad alcuni importanti aspetti del pensiero di J. G. [Italiano]: “Ragione” e “razionalita” sono oggi nozioni problematiche: considerate a lungo, nella storia del pensiero occidentale, come tratti distintivi dell’uomo e della civiltà euro-americana, da un certo punto in poi sono state messe in discussione e lacerate dalla crisi e dal malessere di quest’ultima. Alla luce delle controversie più recenti e delle riflessioni sul tema sviluppate nella prima metà del Novecento, questo libro si propone di riaprire la querelle sulla ratio con l’intento di mettere in luce – attraverso una serie di “casi di studio” – la grana sottile dei molteplici significati e usi della nozione di ragione, ma anche di interrogarsi sulle differenti “epoche” della ragione provando a ricostruirne la “storia”. I saggi contenuti in questo volume, dunque, contestualizzano e analizzano le accezioni e le ambiguità del termine ratio e dei suoi derivati nel quadro delle molteplici discussioni che ne hanno ritmato la storia a partire dalla prima modernità, quando il concetto assunse nuove configurazioni rispetto agli usi attestati nel pensiero antico e medioevale, sino al dibattito contemporaneo ./[English]: “Reason” and “rationality” are, today, problematic notions: considered for a long time, in the history of Western thought, as distinctive traits of man and of the Euro-American civilization, from a certain point onwards they have been called into question and ripped apart by the crisis and the malaise of the latter. In the light of the most recent controversies and reflections on the subject developed over the first half of the 20th century, this book aims to riegnite the debate on “ratio” with the intention of highlighting – through a series of “case studies” – the fine texture of the multiple meanings and uses of the notion of reason, but also to question the different “eras” of reason by attempting to reconstruct its “history”. The essays included in this volume, therefore, contextualise and analyse the meanings and ambiguities of the term “ratio” and its derivatives within the framework of the many discussions that have marked its history from the earliest modernity, when the concept assumed new configurations with respect to the uses attested in Ancient and Medieval thought, to the contemporary debate.

Producing this change was a non-secondary aim of a philosophy that, in the spirit of modern reflexivity, had the pride of calling itself "critical", firm in the intention of reconciling the different needs of reason.
