La risposta è nelle interviste ai personaggi che negli anni Settanta del secolo scorso la Fallaci incontra: da Henry Kissinger a Willy Brandt, da Golda Meir a Indira Gandhi, da Arafat a Hussein di Giordania, dal generale Giap al ministro del petrolio Yamani, da Nenni ad Amendola, fino ad Alessandro Panagulis.
