Original Story Poems is a collection of children's stories that were written by John Marinelli, the author, for his children when they were small. That's been over 40 years ago. The stories came right out of the imagination of the author, as well as, several true-life experiences that prompted him to pen a rhyme. The true life experiences were, "Chasing Rainbows", when he and his young son actually drove through the end of a beautiful rainbow; "Three Vans All In A Row" which were traveling down the road in the other lane one night as the author watched them pass on by; and "The Little Chicken" a real child hood experience that the author recalls even unto this day. The book also contains the fictional story; "The Adventures of Buddy Boy. There are over 80 pages full of humorous, real to life and imaginary stories about little chickens, dogs, bulls, cars, rainbows, trees and numerous other characters. It's a timeless source of reading pleasure. It has been used in elementary school poetry classes, as daycare reading material, and bedtime story readings.

A Little Something for All Ages is compelling and true. Throughout this thoughtful book are illustrations and pages written in a diverse array of poetry from Mark McCullogh, covering practical topics for children, youth, and adults with a touch of history and humor. Suitable for the entire family, this book is a must read and will enhance “family time.” “Helping Mom and Dad with the Big Bad Storm,” a story featured in this book, is a great read to your children. With illustrations, it instructs younger children how to cope by helping you, the parent, prepare for natural disasters such as a hurricane and gives suggestion and comfort to the family during and after the storm. “In the Dawn of Morning” brings the story of 9/11 to life, on how we felt on that dark day in history, and gives a new generation an appreciation of its reality and how America grew stronger for it. “Bush and Gore” is more of a lighthearted historical look at the 2000 election, and with these, in a family setting, helps children understand real-world situations. “Fire Is Not a Friend” helps the youngest of our children understand the dangers of fire, what it does and what happens to bad people who commit them while teaching what fire is for and how to respect it. “Love and Respect Older People” teaches children of all ages to not only love and respect grandma and grandpa but all elders. “The Taming of Deer” is a real-life look at Northern Nomads taming live reindeer with a familiar twist at the end, which makes it enjoyable for the holiday season. “Ode to the Essential Workers” is a tribute to all those on the front lines who have helped us through COVID-19 and continue to do so through all walks of life, who will always be with us in times of trouble. From history to satire and down to adolescent lessons, this book is suitable for the whole family to love. This is the first collection of writings by Mark McCullogh, and there will be more in the coming years.

The fiftieth anniversary edition of the renowned author’s poems for children—featuring the original, iconic illustrations. This collection of boisterous and witty children’s poems by Robert Graves—with charming drawings by painter and illustrator Edward Ardizzone—has enchanted generations of young readers. Celebrating its fiftieth anniversary, the original 1964 edition is now available in this beautiful digital reproduction. These seven timeless poems evoke the world of Victorian England and include the story of Ann, “the third-but-youngest child of seventeen” who runs away to live at a duke’s palace; a valentine in verse; a battle of words lost in translation between King George II and the Chinese Emperor; a doctor’s bedside visit to a little girl; and a lively argument between young Caroline and Charles that is strikingly similar to the banter of twenty-first century children. Ann at Highwood Hall is a classic of children’s literature that will thrill fans of Robert Graves and poetry lovers of all ages.
