Esta obra tem a pretensão de mostrar que nos últimos quatro anos (2015-2018) a educação profissional no estado do Amapá tem sofrido duros embates ideológicos e técnicos, revelando uma realidade bastante peculiar desde a época de governo territorial. Como trabalho em sua organização, como gestor do Programa Nacional de Acesso ao Ensino Técnico e Emprego (Pronatec), consigo identificar as carências de todas as ordens que possam tornar possível mensurar que há incremento de recursos públicos para o desenvolvimento do setor, e que há demanda para que projetos balizadores promovam a qualificação profissional, o Ensino Médio Inovador e Concomitante e direcionem as ações educacionais para a educação profissional de excelência. As ações propostas no âmbito desta obra visam a produzir subsídios e instrumentos ao desenvolvimento dessa modalidade de educação no Amapá a partir da sua relação com as necessidades do mercado de trabalho e, assim, apresentar um perfil analítico da estrutura presente no estado para garantir e manter a oferta de cursos e expansão para o interior do estado.
