Esta trilogía cobra nueva vida en el centenario luctuoso del escritor y diplomático, disfrutemos al Nervo que reconocía su perseverancia en el cultivo de la "brevedad". Una de las facetas menos conocidas del autor son precisamente sus novelas. Famoso ampliamente por su poesía, Nervo se nos revela hoy con nuevas aristas y posibilidades literarias que fueron visionarias en su época y entorno. Dice Juan Villoro en el epílogo: "No es común que un artista popular sea al mismo tiempo un autor de ruptura.
