Oleh sebab itu kami menganggap perlu dibuat sebuah buku “Ensiklopedia Wonosobo” Ensiklopedia Wonosobo yang pertama ini memuat visualisasi data tentang beberapa bidang kebudayaan, yakni Ritus, Adat Istiadat, Pengetahuan dan Teknologi Tradisional, serta kisah-kisah penting yang bersumber dari cerita tutur (tradisi lisan). Berbagai khasanah kebudayaan Wonosobo tersebut disajikan secara ringkas dengan dilengkapi foto-foto dan ilustrasi yang menarik. Harapannya, buku ini dapat menginspirasi dan memotivasi masyarakat untuk mengembangkan dan menjaga kelestarian kebudayaan Wonosobo. Kerja penyusunan Ensiklopedia Wonosobo ini bukanlah sesuatu yang mudah. Tim penyusun telah berusaha semaksimal mungkin untuk mengumpulkan berbagai data dari sumber-sumber yang ada, memilah-milah, dan mempertimbangkan berbagai hal tentang materi apa saja yang tepat dimasukkan dalam buku ini. Meski begitu, kekurangan dan kekhilafan akan tetap ada. Ini menjadi tugas kita bersama untuk mengoreksi dan melengkapinya pada terbitan berikutnya. Terimakasih kepada semua pihak yang membantu dalam pengumpulan data, foto, dan melancarkan proses lahirnya buku ini. Juga kepada Dinas Pariwisata dan Kebudayaan Wonosobo dan Direktorat Jenderal Kebudayaan, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan.
