Our People written by Rūta Vanagaitė and has been published by Rowman & Littlefield this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2020-03-15 with History categories.

A famous Nazi hunter and a descendent of Nazi collaborators team up on a journey to uncover Lithuania’s Holocaust secrets. This remarkable book traces the quest for the truth about the Holocaust in Lithuania by two ostensible enemies: Rūta a descendant of the perpetrators, Efraim a descendant of the victims. Rūta Vanagaitė, a successful Lithuanian writer, was motivated by her recent discoveries that some of her relatives had played a role in the mass murder of Jews and that Lithuanian officials had tried to hide the complicity of local collaborators. Efraim Zuroff, a noted Israeli Nazi hunter, had both professional and personal motivations. He had worked for years to bring Lithuanian war criminals to justice and to compel local authorities to tell the truth about the Holocaust in their country. The facts that his maternal grandparents were born in Lithuania and that he was named for a great-uncle who was murdered with his family in Vilnius with the active help of Lithuanians made his search personal as well. Our People exposes the significant role in implementing the Final Solution played by local political leaders and the prewar Lithuanian administration that remained in place during the Nazi occupation. It also tackles the sensitive issue of the motivation of thousands of ordinary Lithuanians who were complicit in the murder of their Jewish neighbors. At the heart of the book, these are the issues that Rūta and Efraim discuss, debate, and analyze as they crisscross the country to visit dozens of Holocaust mass murder sites in Lithuania and neighboring Belarus. This book follows them on their remarkable journey as they search for neglected graves, interview eyewitnesses, and uncover hints of the rich life that had existed in hundreds of Jewish communities throughout Lithuania.

Hope Healing Our People Earth written by Jude Currivan and has been published by Hay House, Inc this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2011-07-04 with Body, Mind & Spirit categories.

As a cosmologist and healer, Dr Jude Currivan has journeyed to nearly seventy countries around the world and has explored and studied numerous important sacred sites and places of conflict. HOPE shares her understanding and experiences of the energetic connections between people and places from a spiritual perspective which is informed and expanded by leading edge science. HOPE investigates too how different groups and countries reflect and embody the same themes and issues that we experience on an individual human level. It reveals how the history of different areas of conflict around the world and our collective fear-based behaviours are based on traumas that we have energetically continued to resonate with - and crucially how to heal and release them. HOPE also shows the cosmic connection between astrological influences and the 'bigger picture' of what is unfolding, and explores why 2012 is so synchronistically destined to offer us the breakthrough of a shift of collective consciousness &– if, as the Mayans say, we choose to do so!

Canund Nation The Future Of Our People written by Scott Bacheldor and has been published by Scott Bacheldor this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2023-05-06 with Fiction categories.

This book was 90% written between 2016 and 2018 and finished in 2020. was not edited till 2023 as we did not have the professional to do this. This book is based in the future with one young man named Jake Wall. He learned to overcome a lot to end up proving himself in a possible futuristic version of Canund Nation. This is a fictional tale so not real. The story you are about to read is the fictional account of Jack Wall, a troubled, yet self-determined young man of mixed heritage, trying to find his path. The story is inspired by a collection of real anecdotes, both tragic and hopeful, from the Indigenous and non-Indigenous impoverished communities in the northern Canadian Prairies, as observed by the author, Scott Bacheldor. It is a futuristic story of what Scott hopes to promise troubled youth and young adults with the Canund Nation. For far too long, the Canadian Government has either persecuted, or merely paid lip-service to troubled youth, AFN and non-AFN, with broken promises, false hopes, and outright lies about ‘progress’ and ‘understanding’. The average Canadian who watches the mainstream news or reads only the mainstream history books, truly does not, and cannot understand the egregious situation in our so-called ‘Strong and Free’ nation we call home here in Canada. As of the time of this forward, Feb 2021, Indigenous men are sharply overrepresented in Canadian prisons. Also, many times, Indigenous women are dealing with addictions. Canadian men and women, with only superficial understanding of the issues, cannot even possibly imagine. The Story of ‘Jack Wall’ is intended to shed some light upon these issues and repair these shortfalls of understanding. Scott Bacheldor hopes to help correct for both this inexcusable ignorance, and offer a genuine, honorable solution to this ignorant and overt betrayal of human rights, and the sloppiness and misconduct in application of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms and the Indian Act. Scott believes we MUST move forward with both education and practical solutions as soon as possible, and this book we hope will provide much needed insights to the plight of impoverished youth of all backgrounds within Canada. The Boyash, also known as Rudari, Lingurari or, inclusively, as “oamenii noștri” (our people), are an ethnic group living today in scattered communities in the Balkans, Central and Eastern Europe, but also in the Americas. What brings the disperse communities of Boyash together is their Romanian mother tongue, (memory of) traditional occupation, common historical origin, and the fact that the majority population considers them Gypsies / Roma. A marginal topic until now, at the crossroads between Romani and Romanian studies, the Boyash studies are today an interdisciplinary field dealing with the experiences of the Boyash over time, in Romania and all the places where they have settled. The editors of this volume intend to mark two centuries of scholarly interest in the Boyash by bringing together researchers from different fields, summing up existing literature and bringing new research to the forefront.

Firsthand sources are brought together to illuminate the diversity of American history in a unique way—by sharing the perspectives of people of color who participated in landmark events. This invaluable, four-volume compilation is a comprehensive source of documents that give voice to those who comprise the American mosaic, illustrating the experiences of racial and ethnic minorities in the United States. Each volume focuses on a major racial/ethnic group: African Americans, American Indians, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, and Latinos. Documents chosen by the editors for their utility and relevance to popular areas of study are organized into chronological periods from historical to contemporary. The collection includes eyewitness accounts, legislation, speeches, and interviews. Together, they tell the story of America's diverse population and enable readers to explore historical concepts and contexts from multiple viewpoints. Introductions for each volume and primary document provide background and history that help students understand and critique the material. The work also features a useful primary document guide, bibliographies, and indices to aid teachers, librarians, and students in class work and research.
