Iglesia y palabras desafía la asunción acrítica de las palabras, explorando cómo el uso del lenguaje en la Iglesia, lejos de ser necesario o real, refleja una comunidad ansiosa y hiperidealista. A través de un análisis crítico, el autor aboga por cuestionar la influencia de las palabras y, en última instancia, destaca que el elemento central del Cuerpo de Cristo, la Iglesia, trasciende el lenguaje, centrándose en el amor bíblico que va más allá de las expresiones verbales hacia el padecimiento y el sufrimiento. Este ensayo tiene, al menos, una clara motivación: las palabras puestas en escena dentro de la Iglesia. Así, propone una toma de conciencia sobre el uso de las palabras desde el marco de la Biblia. En su búsqueda por separar la realidad de la ilusión lingüística, el texto invita a repensar el papel del cuerpo en la experiencia religiosa y espiritual. Al cuestionar el protagonismo excesivo de las palabras en la comunidad cristiana actual, el autor lleva adelante un análisis crítico del uso del lenguaje como un medio para la toma de conciencia y la reconsideración de los valores esenciales que van más allá de las expresiones verbales, enfocándose en la verdadera esencia del amor y el cuerpo en la experiencia de la fe. Las ideas que han abandonado la caverna (la mente del autor) para materializarse en estas pocas hojas anhelan que el lector se sienta interpelado, cuestionado y, si se lo permite, hasta desvestido. Después de todo, al usar la lengua, esto ya lo involucra.
