Im dritten Kapitel wird ein ausführliches Augenmerk auf bestehende Therapiemöglichkeiten gelegt, wobei dort ein besonderer Fokus auf der Selbsttherapie liegt; außerdem wird unter anderem die „TEK-Sequenz“ vorgestellt und das Autogene Training erläutert. Anschließend folgt eine Diskussion über den Zusammenhang von Stress, Angst und Panik und ein Konzept zur Rolle der Sozialen Arbeit im Umgang mit dieser Problematik. Abschließend stellen die beiden Autoren ihr persönliches Fazit zu der vorliegenden Arbeit dar.
