Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2017 im Fachbereich Psychologie - Medienpsychologie, Note: 1,3, Universität Rostock, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der folgenden Arbeit soll die Begrifflichkeit dieses Phänomens geklärt werden und im Zusammenhang damit, inwiefern sich sogenannte parasoziale Interaktionen zu parasozialen Beziehungen entwickeln. Dies soll schließlich am Beispiel der deutschen Seifenoper "Gute Zeiten, Schlechte Zeiten" verdeutlicht werden. Schon seitdem die ersten Filme und Fernsehsendungen in den Vereinten Nationen starteten, konnten die Psychologen Horton und Wohl unvorhersehbare Reaktionen der Zuschauer*innen feststellen. Im Jahr 1956 entwickelten sie ein Konzept, welches die Interaktion zwischen Publikum und Medienakteuren beschreibt. Nach ihren Beobachtungen benehmen sich viele Zuschauer*innen gegenüber den TV-Personen so, als ob ein direkter persönlicher Kontakt vorliege und die Medienakteure real seien. Heutzutage wachsen Menschen in einer fernsehsozialisierten Generation auf, in der das Massenmedium Fernseher häufig als Freizeitaktivität bezeichnet wird. Dadurch gewinnt das Fernsehen immer mehr an gesellschaftlicher Bedeutung und Einfluss. Das Schauen von Filmen und Serien gehört zum Alltag dazu und nimmt eine selbstverständliche Beschäftigung ein.

Februar 1999 bei „Hans Meiser“ auf RTL) Das Fernsehen allgemein hat in unserer Wirklichkeitsgestaltung einen sehr hohen Stellenwert erlangt und besitzt zunehmend gesellschaftliche Bedeutung (vgl. Mikos 1994: 17). In diesem Zusammenhang wurde kritisiert, daß es sich nicht mehr nur auf die Abbildung der sozialen Wirklichkeit beschränkt, sondern sie immer mehr beeinflußt, mitgestaltet und bestimmt (vgl. Bleicher 1998: 165). Die geteilte Wirklichkeit wird nur noch aus der Unterhaltung deutlich. Fernsehen spielt dabei eine große Rolle, weil es semiotisches Material für Wirklichkeitsunterhaltungen darstellt. (Vgl. Hepp 1996: 83). Viele Botschaften aus dem Fernsehen werden unbesehen als wahrheitsgemäß akzeptiert, und die soziale Wirklichkeit wird zunehmend durch mediale Codes vermittelt 1(vgl. Hepp 1996: 75). Dazu muß hinzugefügt werden, daß vor allem die Unterhaltungsbranche konstanten Zuwachs aufweisen kann. So geht der Prozentsatz der informationsorientierten Nutzer zurück, während der der unterhaltungsorientierten Nutzer seit den letzten zehn Jahren deutlich steigt (vgl. Vorderer: 689f). Dies erklärt vielleicht auch einen Teil des Entstehens des momentan existierenden „Soap-Booms“. Dabei ist hinzuzufügen, daß sich die Zuschauerzahl nicht auf „ungebildete Jugendliche“ beschränkt, sondern daß die Soap bereits in den achziger Jahren einen enormen Zuwachs an Zuschauern gefunden hat - ungeachtet deren Beruf, Alter, Bildungsstand, Einkommen, Geschlecht oder gesellschaftlicher Schicht.2(Vgl. Carveth/ Alexander 1985: 259). Wo für Baudrillard das Fernsehen „die Gewissheit (ist), daß die Menschen nicht mehr miteinander reden, daß sie angesichts einer Rede ohne Antwort entgültig isoliert sind“, widersprechen die Mediennutzer bereits unbewußt durch ihr Verhalten. [...] 1Kaum einer war live beim Tankerunglück der „Pallas“ dabei - trotzdem glauben wir, was uns das Fernsehen darübererzählt und stellen den Wahrheitsgehalt der Nachricht nicht in Frage. 2Studenten richten ihre Stundenpläne nach den Sendezeiten, Geschäftsleute nutzen die Mittagspause, denn „dumb genres may not neccessarily imply dumb viewers.“ (Borchers/Kreutzner/Warth 1994:)
