Parenting In The Pew written by Robbie F. Castleman and has been published by InterVarsity Press this book supported file pdf, txt, epub, kindle and other format this book has been release on 2012-11-14 with Religion categories.

"Daddy, I'd like you to meet my children." That's Robbie Castleman's attitude about taking her children to church. She believes that Sunday morning isn't a success if she has only managed to keep the kids quiet. And she knows there's more to church for kids than trying out their new coloring books. Children are at church for the same reason as their parents: for the privilege of worshiping God. Worship, Castleman writes, is "the most important thing you can ever train your child to do." So with infectious passion, nitty-gritty advice and a touch of humor, she shows you how to help your children (from toddlers to teenagers) enter into worship. In this significantly revised and updated edition Castleman includes a new preface and two new appendices that provide new perspectives on children's sermon and intergenerational community. She also provides a study guide for personal reflection or group discussion. More than ever, Parenting in the Pew is essential reading for parents and worship leaders who want to help children make joyful noises unto the Lord.

Children and Faith Faith of Lonely Mr. First Pew' is my personal parenting guide on Christian faith, stressing the importance of family worship-instilling a Christian foundation in a child. Although a fictional story, this book has a flair of fantasy and fun, but the focus is on directing a child in the right path, God's Path.' To me the most important parental role a parent can take is "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.'' (Proverbs 22:6) Children are made by law to attend school. What would happen if knowledge-reading, writing, and arithmetic-was kept from a child? Why shouldn't parents make or encourage' their child to go to church to worship God and learn of His Word in Sunday School?' How is a child to learn of God if he is not taught and shown. Easter-which is the finale in my book-is the most glorious of celebrations. Jesus Christ was crucified, was resurrected, and returned to heaven, but not before leaving his comforter, the Holy Spirit for all who believe in Him. Attend church with Magdalene, find your pew personality, and celebrate Christ's Resurrection and glory.

Parenting isn’t for wimps. It's not just the routines, schedules, discipline, and heartaches—it's the hard conversations. One of the greatest challenges of parenting is navigating the crucial conversations that we must have with our kids. Jimmy and Kristin Scroggins have been married for more than twenty five years and have eight children. Jimmy pastors a church in South Florida. They’ve had plenty of crucial conversations in their lives—not only with their own children, but with parents who are scared and seeking wisdom. They know they have to find a way to have those tough conversations from a biblical perspective and a distinctly Christian worldview, but they don’t know how. If you’re like these parents, Full Circle Parenting was written for you. God meets us, and our kids, in the mess Parenting is messy business. Joyful, but messy. When faith is combined with parenting, we double down on the mess. Pastor and father of three Justin Lind-Ayres chronicles his adventures (and misadventures) raising children and passing on his faith to them--teaching them to be compassionate, generous, quick to forgive, and to trust in God's promises. But this father is sure to point out that it is children who are our best teachers in faith, opening our eyes and our hearts to God's love for us. In the messy and challenging moments of parenting, and in the joyful ones, God is fully present. And a God who knows your story--especially the messy parts--is a God who can redeem you. With stories full of humor, honesty, and, yes, even some poop, this book is a welcome encouragement for parents, grandparents, and anyone who cares deeply for the children in their life.
