Diese Arbeit hat den Vergleich der Partizipation in 18 ausgew hlten Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien der EU-Mitgliedsstaaten zum Inhalt. Zun chst werden die themenspezifischen Grundlagen f r Nachhaltige Entwicklung und Partizipation und deren rechtliche und politische Rahmenbedingungen anhand von einschl giger Literatur und spezifischer Internetquellen herausgearbeitet. In diesem Zusammenhang wird auch der Sinn und Zweck von Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien unter Bezugnahme auf o.g. Quellen er rtert und die erneuerte EU-Nachhaltigkeitsstrategie unter besonderer Ber cksichtung der partizipationsspezifischen Textstellen vorgestellt. Aufbauend auf den theoretischen Grundlagen wird im folgenden Kapitel der Aspekt Partizipation in den jeweiligen Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien analysiert. F r diesen Abschnitt wurde folgende Gliederung gew hlt: Kapitel 3.2 fragt nach dem Stellenwert der Partizipation in den Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien sowie deren Begr ndung, Kapitel 3.3 arbeitet die Grundlagen heraus, welche in den Nachhaltigkeitsstrategien als Basis f r erfolgreiche Teilhabe an Nachhaltiger Entwicklung gesehen werden, Kapitel 3.4 umschreibt, welche gesellschaftlichen Gruppen besonders in den Strategien als Partizipienten hervorgehoben werden. Schlie lich untersucht Kapitel 3.5, welche Handlungsfelder f r Partizipation eine besondere Bedeutung haben respektive wo Partizipation bereits umgesetzt wurde. F r diese Analyse wurden die Staaten aufgrund ihrer geographischen Lage und/oder ihres aktuellen bzw. ehemaligen politischen Systems in Gruppen zusammengefasst. Im Res mee werden die partizipationsrelevanten Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede zwischen den Staaten zusammenfassend dargestellt.
