The angel has always been in the temple. Nathaniel has lived through countless ages, but now the Khmer is coming in force, and there is no resisting them. Nathaniel cowers in a hidden cave as death awaits him at the hands of the Khmer. Laura and Belle Donovan have just arrived in Cairo to view the pyramids in typical tourist fashion. While visiting a shop, Laura stumbles upon a quill pen she is sure her father, Gabriel, will love. But as soon as the pen arrives at Gabriel's villa in Buenos Aires, he is shocked. The last time he saw a similar feather was in a laboratory where scientists were laboring to uncover the secret of the angels' longevity. Perplexed, Gabriel sends the feather to a lab for tests which reveal that the feather has been recently plucked. Somewhere out in the world is another one of Gabriel's people. Without knowing whether the angel is alive or dead, Gabriel embarks on a global journey to find him and the sooner the better. In frantic search to find the last surviving angel, Gabriel must not only rescue his wife and daughter from peril, but also himself as he strives for a long-awaited reunion with one of his own.

Christians have been taught we are all sinners and sin daily. What if Ihat is untrue? What if you could believe all your sins are completely erased, including your future sins? What if you never had to fear Satan or worry about guilt? As Christians, we think we know everything about God, sin, and salvation. You may be surprised to find that some of the things you have learned all your life may not be entirely right. It may be time to challenge your old ideas about what the Lord can do for you. The Biblical teachings about God's love and forgiveness are much better than imagined. You should read this book because: o You need to stop saying you are a sinner. o Following God's rules doesn't always work. o You may not realize you have made the right choice. o God will forgive sins you have not yet committed. o One sin does not always make you a sinner. Gary L. Holmes has had an interest in theology and church all his life. He graduated from Oklahoma Christian with a BA degree in Bible and from Harding School of Theology with a Masters of Theology degree. He served as a missionary in Brazil and had a successful career as a CPA and business broker. He has written for journals and spoken for professional groups across the United States.

For those who are weary of Christian cliché and compromise crowding out what was supposed to be good news, The Naked Gospel offers the fresh take on the story of Jesus you've been waiting for. As a university student, Andrew Farley found himself physically and emotionally addicted to street evangelism and Bible study. Yet despite his fervid behavior, he knew something was missing. That something was an understanding of the gospel that is stripped of the churchy jargon and hypocrisies of the modern church. The Naked Gospel finds kindred spirits among those who are burned out on experience-chasing, ceremonialism, or legalism. It dismantles churchy jargon and powerless ideas and puts forth a message that is simple but life changing: Jesus plus nothing. 100% natural. No additives. The Naked Gospel is an invitation to dive deep into the indispensable, powerful core of the Christian faith. Are you ready? Spanish edition also available.

What beliefs are core to the Christian faith? This book is here to help you understand the reason for your hope as a Christian so that you can see it with fresh sight and invite others into the conversation. A lot of Christians take their story—the narratives that give rise to their beliefs—for granted. They pray, go to church, perhaps even read their Bible. But they might be stuck if a stranger asked them to explain what they believe and why they believe it. Author, pastor, and theologian Mike Horton unpacks the essential and basic beliefs that all Christians share in a way that is easy to understand and applicable to our lives today. And in a way that will make you excited to be a Christian! Core Christianity covers topics like: Jesus as both fully God and fully man. The doctrine of the Trinity. The goodness of God despite a broken world. The ways God speaks. The meaning of salvation. What is the Christian calling? Includes discussion questions for individual or group use. This introduction to the basic doctrines of Christianity is perfect for those who are new to the faith, as well as those who have an interest in deepening their understanding of what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ.

It is the greatest achievement of Saint Thomas Aquinas and one of the most influential works of Western literature and Philosophy. His influence on Western thought is considerable, and much of modern Philosophy was conceived as a reaction against, or as an agreement with, his ideas, particularly in the areas of Ethics, Natural Law, Metaphysics, and Political Theory. It is intended as a manual for beginners in Theology and a Compendium of all of the main Theological teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. It presents the reasoning for almost all points of Christian Theology in the West. The book is famous, among other things, for its five arguments for the existence of God, the Quinque viae. The Summa Theologica's topics follow a cycle: The Existence of God; Creation, Man; Man's Purpose; Christ; The Sacraments; and back to God. The first part is on God. In it, he gives five proofs for God’s existence as well as an explication of His attributes. He argues for the actuality and incorporeality of God as the unmoved mover and describes how God moves through His thinking and willing. The second part is on Ethics. Thomas argues for a variation of the Aristotelian Virtue Ethics. However, unlike Aristotle, he argues for a connection between the virtuous man and God by explaining how the virtuous act is one towards the blessedness of the Beatific Vision (beata visio). The last part of the Summa is on Christ and was unfinished when Thomas died. In it, he shows how Christ not only offers salvation, but represents and protects humanity on Earth and in Heaven. This part also briefly discusses the sacraments and eschatology. The Summa remains the most influential of Thomas’s works. Saint Thomas Aquinas was a Dominican Priest, born near Aquino, Sicily in 1225. He was an immensely influential Philosopher and Theologian in the tradition of Scholasticism, known as Doctor Angelicus. He died in 1274. As one of the 33 Doctors of the Church, he is considered the Church's greatest Theologian and Philosopher. Thomas is held in the Catholic Church to be the model teacher for those studying for the priesthood. He was canonized in 1323. PUBLISHER: CATHOLIC WAY PUBLISHING
