In questo libro i sapori del cibo si mescolano con il gusto dei ricordi che fanno sfilare davanti ai nostri occhi personaggi sconosciuti o famosi raccontati con ironia, affetto, e simpatia. E intanto lei, la nostra star, generosa negli affetti come nelle dosi, sostituendo il chilo all’etto e l’etto al grammo, ci sforna, ricetta dopo ricetta, cibi che ci ridanno sapore di casa. A dispetto di una nouvelle cuisine molto fumo e poco arrosto, questo simpatico ricettario è un invito alle giovani donne a continuare a cucinare, è un inno alla gioia ed un ritorno alla semplicità. Tra lasagne, zuppe di cavolo, torte Paradiso, struffoli, parmigiane, bombolotti da salvare per la nostra memoria storica prima che spariscano e diventino rarità archeologiche, con un tono sorridente che svuota dalla malinconia anche i ricordi più intimi, ci porta, facendoci seguire la scia profumata di un ragù, nella casa delle sue radici dove qualcuno si alzava all’alba per cucinare per gli altri, e gli odori del cibo si mischiavano ai sentimenti ed al profumo del calore e dell’attenzione. Per Marisa il tempo sembra essersi fermato: per lei cucinare è sempre stato un atto d’amore. Marisa Laurito, nata a Napoli in un giorno di primavera di un anno meraviglioso, famosissima artista a tutto tondo, ma a detta degli amici “pazzesca” come cuoca.
